The highest wattage, highest gain (yet still the cleanest) Orange yet.

The Orange TH100H tube guitar amp head is an incredibly versatile amp packed full of face-melting rock and metal tones, but capable of cleaning up to a sparkly chime. Those who hear it reminisce about the now infamous Orange AD140, an amp considered by many to have been the best lead amp ever made. The TH100H has six knobs split between dedicated clean and dirty channels. Dial in everything from blues to country, classic rock to nu-rock, and then finish off by dialing the shape knob to 10 for the perfect metal tone.

A power selection switch on the amp's front panel, coupled with the option of removing two output valves from the circuit on the back panel, allow the player to choose between 100W, 70W, 50W and 35W RMS output. It's like having 4 amps in 1!

  • Love this head!

As reviewed by Steve on 1/15/2015

After doing a lot of research and checking out YouTube reviews I chose this head over the others because of the 4 wattage choices 35, 50, 70 or 100. I play everything from small clubs to festivals so I can dial in a cranked up sound no matter where I'm playing. I was hesitant to get this because of the one tone knob for the dirty and only bass and treble for the clean but all the reviews seemed confident you could dial in a good tone and they were right. Don't let that discourage you. I play in a country rock band but actually like metal and everything in between. I've been playing for over 35 years and always thought Marshall was the way to go, being "old school" that I am. I LOVE the cleans as well as the dirty out of the TH100. The tone is so excellent that stuff I used to play "dirty" in the band I now play clean because my sound has gotten so much better. I paired this with a PPC212 and I've gotten so many compliments on my sound at gigs...this is an excellent amp and well worth the money!

  • OK head but not for the price

As reviewed by Olav Tabatabai on 4/8/2013

I had this amp for 30 days before I returned it. It was hard to find a good tone on there for my style. Maybe it works if you play exclusively metal but it doesn't have the tone you expect from an orange. The ability to switch between power settings is really cool though. If you want to save money I'd say go for the dual terror. Though it's less powerful it is cheaper and better sounding in my opinion. Otherwise, save up for a rockerverb or thunderverb.

  • Great amp. Terrible store experience

As reviewed by David Cruse on 3/22/2013

I absolutely love this amp. I picked up the 2x12 orange closed back cab with V30s and it sounds great. I also got a new Schecter Hellraiser solo 6 to go with it. First off the amp is so easy to dial in the right sound. And with so much gain its crazy, for the first time since i've been in a metal band I have gain headroom. The clean channel doesn't sparkle liked I had hoped but it still sounds great.
