Orange Amplifiers Crush Pro CR120H 120W Guitar Amp Head (H97902)
Availability:

A120W analog, solid-state, two channel amp that's at home at rehearsal and on stage.

The Orange Crush CR120 is a 120W solid-state amp head that offers the tonal clarity and definition players adore in an Orange amplifier. The Crush CR120 amp is part of the Crush range, marking Orange’s first foray into the world of high power, solid-state amplifiers. Orange have spent years creating a solid-state amp they could be proud of.

The Orange team wanted to keep these amp simple. The dirty channel uses a circuit based on four stages of gain and a three band EQ which provides the player with a wide pallet of over-driven and distorted sounds. The clean channel is based on a two stage, two band EQ design, that gives the player a clean but warm sound which when cranked begins to break up.

These amps have a transparent effects loop, allowing you to plug in your favorite pedals. It also contains a digital reverb that provides a natural sounding spring, hall or plate reverb.

Orange Amplifiers Crush Pro CR120H 120W Guitar Amp Head Features:

  • Two channel
    Digital reverb
Clean channel controls: Volume, Bass and Treble
Dirty channel controls: Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble and Gain
    Global controls: Volume and Reverb

  • Great Orange Amplifier !

As reviewed by rooney on 10/5/2014

Just picked up the amp last week, very impressed! Lots of guitar players have multiple amps for different gigs and practice locations. I've been mostly using tube combo's through the years and this is my second amp head purchase. For me, the new CR120 was a perfect match for my 410 8ohm Marshall cabinet. Wow, no problem w/ volume or bottom end at all, anything louder used on an indoor gig would probably be an unwelcome stage volume. On both clean and dirty channels I like the volumes set at 2 o'clock and the master anywhere between 10 and 12 (gain also at 12) Perfect size and weight, great distortion tone, a hint of chime on the clean. This is a quality built product and could easily stand the test of time. Have not missed the tube tones at all. Thanks Orange!

  • No digital sounding amp here

As reviewed by Glen on 8/8/2014

This is a great amp head, It took a little to get use to. It has a lot bass and bottom end to it. But that turned out to be a good thing. The clean channel is nice and clear with my strat. You can hear your picking action very well and with the reverb at noon and wow! It has spring, hall, and plate. I like it on hall. The reverb is the only thing that is digital on the amp but sounds very good. The rest is all analog so you can cut through the mix and it won't be all fuzzy and digital like most other soiled state amps. Then there is the dirty side with enough gain for most metal players. Great with humbuckers pickups. Effects loop in back for your pedals, what more can you ask for the price.

  • Best Solid State Head

As reviewed by RICHARD on 5/31/2014

To add to the other reviews, I was looking for a solid state amp to replace my tube amps. Why? I didn't want the hassle of tube maintenance anymore. My understanding of this amp is that it is an all analog amp with the exception of the reverb, same design as the Rockerverb with the exection of using Op-Amps (Operational Amplifiers) instead of tubes. I'm using it with a Orange 212 cab with Celestion V30s. Pedals- Whah and OD pedals this the front a tone/delay pedals in the FX loop. Using a Setzer Gretsch, Strat Plus and a Tele Delux. Great tone? You bet.
