  • Try one out, ya tube snobs!

    No seriously, I thought the only good amp tone could come from tube amps. The Orange Crush has changed my mind, if you're a tube snob, and are looking for a good bedroom amp, TRY THIS AMP. Since its solid state, you turn it on and start playing, no warm up necessary. But it's not a modeling amp trying to be something its not. It responds surprisingly well to pick attack and guitar volume. Using just the gain and volume on the clean channel, you can go from a soft, acoustic clean, to a full-bodied clean, to a wonderful sounding overdrive with the gain at 3:00 or maxed out. The Overdrive channel will go from a rude '70's fuzz, to a modern, tighter overdrive. The overdrive will sound fizzy if you max it, but the 3 band EQ can remedy that. This really is an amp that a beginner or a well seasoned pro can use, and enjoy.

  • Great Practice Amp

    I needed a good practice amp for my apartment and my choices were narrowed down to this amp and the vox pathfinder. This won over the vox because it had an aux connection and headphones (Vox only has headphones) which I find very useful when I want to learn songs or play along with some tracks late at night. I didn't need the LDX version because I have my own pedalboard. The cleans sound good and when you increase the gain, it gets a bit crunchy. The overdrive channel gets fizzy sounding when the gain is set high, but i don't use it since I have a TS pedal. I can get good amount of control over my sound since it has a low, mid, & high. If I'm not using headphones, my volume is set pretty low because this amp can get pretty loud for a bedroom. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. For $115.00 it's a great practice amp for your bedroom.

    this amp can truly give you to sound you with its very simple controls! although it may not have any effects its gos along great with any effect pedal. ive had this amp for 5 years now and together with my new digitech rp355 its awesome and still going strong! all in all its a great buy!
