Bargain for the Price

Comments about Takamine GJ72CE G Series Jumbo Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

As a music pastor, I have the privilege of playing guitar nearly every day. I love trying new guitars when I have the chance, and I was pleasantly surprised with the tonal quality this jumbo delivers across the full range of lows, mids, and highs. It sounds warm and full unplugged, and the built-in TK-40D preamp carries this same quality quite well through your sound system, though it is customizable enough to give you plenty of added brightness or depth for a particular set or taste. It produces plenty of volume on its own, though the dreadnaught I use most often is still a little louder unplugged. The materials are about what you'd expect for this price range, but it feels very solid in hand, and sounds like a much more "premium" guitar. The thing that impressed me most, however, was how clean this guitar sounds, even when strumming relatively hard. If you're a rhythm guitarist, you won't struggle with this instrument sounding muddy or distorted unless you're really trying. For what I do, I highly recommend this G-series Takamine Jumbo. Yes, there are many better or comparable guitars out there - but a scant few are this affordable. For this reason, I give the GJ72CE a solid 5 stars.

Comments about Takamine GJ72CE G Series Jumbo Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I absolutely love this guitar. It's beautiful, well-built and sounds fantastic; acoustically or plugged in. I have been playing guitar for 30+ years. I was looking for the big feel and rich sound of a jumbo at an affordable price and this big beauty is spot-on. Acoustically, the sound is perfectly balanced. While some jumbo guitars tend to be bass-heavy, this one resonates on all frequencies; whether finger picked, strummed lightly or banged out like the world is gonna end. Like any jumbo, she can sing as loudly as you want her to. If you want to be heard, you will be. I bought mine used from Guitar Center online. It was in brand-spankin'-new condition, aesthetically and functionally. Rather than simply having it delivered directly to my house, I had her shipped to my local Guitar Center. Shipping was lightning fast and the good folks at my local Guitar Center checked her over and made sure that I was confident and happy with my purchase. A+ service and an A+ guitar. If you are looking for a sweet feeling, sweet sounding jumbo to have and to hold from this day forward, you cannot go wrong with the Takamine GJ72CE. And if you want great customer service from people who really know their stuff, have a passion for music and put the customer first, go with Guitar Center. Oh, and if you find yourself in Lincoln, Nebraska, stop by Guitar Center and ask for the manager, Jamie Cox. He'll treat you right and help you find exactly what you're looking for. No, I wasn't paid or asked to say that. I mean it.
