Comments about Roland GK-3B Divided Pickup:

I boughrt this pickup and paid one of your technicians to set it up on my bass to work with my Roland GR55. So far all i have heard was a lot of reasons why the tech cannot get it to work. Yet I am out of money for the purchase for the device, the "work" your tech put in?, and the time spent in your shop and not in my hands playing. I am scheduled for a second time to bring in my guitar and pickup to see if the tech can fix it and get it running. Otherwise I will ask for my money back. I hope whoever is reading this makes sure i am get my satisfaction in this matter. I spend a lot of money with GC. Right now I am not a happy camper.

      Even worked on this!!

Comments about Roland GK-3B Divided Pickup:

So I have a squire bronco bass that I converted to a 5 string( used a kahler bridge) installed the GK-3B at a slant to compensate for the narrow string spacing, adjusted the string velocity ,set the GR-55 for short scale bass, and I can say that it works great!!! The tracking is a little slower on the low string( I tune my bass in 5ths CGDAEB low to high) but that is to be expected....to be able to add synth strings, and pads, hold chords, distorted guitar an octave above is just so cool!! Take the time to learn the GR-55, or whatever roland synth your using, the payoff is so worth it!!! Get the GK- 3B,put it on your bass, and have a blast!!!

      Not perfect, but...

      By Larry Allen

Comments about Roland GK-3B Divided Pickup:

Guitar synthesis, especially for bass, is limited by the laws of physics. It takes tens of milliseconds to detect the frequency of a low frequency signal, which can cause audible latency on the lowest notes of the lowest strings. The tracking with a GR-55 is as good for bass as it is for guitar. Not perfect, but easily good enough to add new dimensions to your sound. It isn't the same as playing a regular bass, just like an electric guitar doesn't play like an acoustic guitar. But you can make excellent music with any of them. The GK-3B is cleverly designed to fit on as many instruments as possible, and you don't have to drill any holes. I chose to mount the pickup with screws so I could dial it in for best performance.

      Unfortunate

Comments about Roland GK-3B Divided Pickup:

I recently purchased a Roland GK-3B divided Pickup (7703730) &Roland GR 20S synthesizer. The pickup was not compatible with the bass guitat I have and I had to return both of these items. I'm sure both items would have performed to my satifaction. Because the pickup was not compatible,I had to return the items. When this transaction is completed, I do plan to make another Purchase in the near future.
