Loaded with high-performance neodymium speakers and 90 watts of power, the Roland AC-90 amp provides a rich, powerful sound while remaining lightweight for easy transport. The AC-90 employs a stereo 2-way speaker system that delivers transparent highs -- great for the built-in multi-band stereo chorus -- while also providing incredibly powerful low-frequency performance.

Legacy of Excellence
The AC-90 isn't just any amp on the block ¦ it's the long-awaited addition to Roland's industry-leading AC-series amp family. Roland's reputation for world-class sound, amazing performance, portability, and top-quality construction in the AC series are all upheld in this stunning amplifier.

Power Performer
With 90 watts of stereo power (45W+45W) driving top-quality neodymium speakers, the AC-90 amplifier delivers exceptional full-range performance -- from shimmering, crystal-clear highs to full-impact bottom end. This amp is more than capable of cutting though a wall of sound.

Anti-Feedback Control
Enjoy maximum volume without feedback. Simply dial in the offending frequency and the AC-90 will suppress the feedback. This allows you to roam the stage with confidence -- even with 90 watts of powerful sound at your back.

Immersive Stereo FX
The AC-90 amp's onboard stereo effects benefit from Roland's decades of industry-leading R&D. Experience the amazing spatial depth and lush sound of the stereo multi-band chorus, complete with developed WIDE mode. Delay and Reverb are provided as well, and can be controlled via footswitch.

In addition to its amazing acoustic-guitar amplification qualities, the Roland AC-90 can also function as a portable PA system thanks to its dual-channel architecture and phantom-powered Microphone input.

I love it! :-)

Comments about Roland AC-90 90W 2x8 Stereo Acoustic Chorus Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought this amplifier about two years ago, and have used it on countless gigs, jam sessions, and rehearsals, since. The sound is clean and pristine. Itۡs extremely quiet! It comes with a padded nylon case! The chorus is amazing ۡ but Roland has always been famous for this, so I wasnۡt too surprised by this. Iۡm playing an Alvarez AD-CK60 dreadnaught with a recently-installed Baggs ibeam Active pickup. People are always giving me compliments on my plugged-in sound. I only have two gripes about the unit: 1) The AC-60 (While it does have very beautiful-sounding chorus and digital reverb effects built-in) does not have an effects loop. Iۡve resorted to using a BOSS GT-3 processor and coming straight into the external stereo ̴_-inch inputs in the back of the amp (I use a lot of effects, and this setup gives me the most control of the overall sound, although I lose the anti-feedback feature, wiring it up this way, since it essentially turns the amp into a powered stereo speaker system ۡ which is not a bad thing. You can still use the two inputs on the front end, to play other instruments ۡ or an instrument and a microphone through it as well ۡ a very nice touch. Kudos to Roland for this added flexibility). I also use an Aphex 1401 Exciter, and a Baggs Para Acoustic D.I. and the combination of these units is fantastic. I can pretty much dial in anything, now. I finally have the tone Iۡve been looking for, for years. Itۡs unbelievable; the amount of beautiful, big clean sound that comes out of this tiny amp. 2) It would be nice to have individual control of the reverb/delay mix over each of the two channels, rather than a master effect knob. The chorus effect is defeatable on each of the two channels; but If you dial in a bunch of reverb to use on the guitar channel, for instance, youۡre pretty much stuck with that same reverb mix for the microphone channel as well. I use this same setup, with the addition of a microphone, and/or or a secondary instrument plugged into the open front-end channel inputs, when I go to my monthly songwriting group meetings (At which time, that little amp serves as a portable p.a. system), and it works beautifully. Love the built-in phantom power! There are many different ways (other than the non-existent effects loop) to patch stuff into or out of this amp (for external footswitches, dedicated tuner out, subwoofer out, RCA plugs for a little CD player, or whatever - etc.). I love the flexibility it has, this way. I would wholeheartedly recommend the AC-60 to anyone who plays out regularly and is considering a nice, reasonably priced acoustic amp that wonۡt make you feel like youۡre going to get a hernia every time you go to move it. One would not expect earth-shattering volumes to come out of this amp; but it does put out plenty of volume, for its size ۡ and you can always the use the built-in D.I.s, to plug into a p.a. system, or even record directly into a board, if you want. If you use the EQ wisely, you can dial in a pretty respectable sound out of it. If you play a plugged-in acoustic instrument, definitely get a dedicated acoustic amp. You wonۡt be sorry.

AC 90 Step up

By Frank Grimaldi

from California

Comments about Roland AC-90 90W 2x8 Stereo Acoustic Chorus Guitar Combo Amp:

I just purchased an ac 90 a couple of weeks ago. I had been using an ac 60 for the past few years and loved every musical minute of it. Carry it on stage, line out to mixer, monitor back just perfect. Two guitars, two separate EQs one main mixer channel, how easy is that. Take it into a church one channel for vocal other channel guitar just an amazing sound. A couple of months ago my nephew (Dave) tells me Rolands come out whith a ac 90 little bigger spearkers with tweeters and a bit more power. Seemed to good to be true. Just when you think you've heard the best, the best gets a little bigger and better. Now Dave gets the ac 60 and i get the 90. Thankyou Roland

Great Amp

By Royce

from Orlando, FL

Comments about Roland AC-90 90W 2x8 Stereo Acoustic Chorus Guitar Combo Amp:

I've been trying to play my Martin D15 through bass amp, regular guitar amp, and even a keyboard anp. Even when using the LR Baggs M1A acoustic pickup, I could not get the tone I was looking for. That is until I purchased the AC90 acoustic amp. I am absolutely pleased with the sound. One of the other reviews mentioned adding a sub-woofer. That's got my curiosity up, so I will try that in the near future. I don't use a lot of effects when playing, but when I do, this amp provides a quality chorus and reverb that meets my requirements.

Excellent acoustic amp for classical guitars

By Angel

from Maryland

Comments about Roland AC-90 90W 2x8 Stereo Acoustic Chorus Guitar Combo Amp:

I have used the Roland AC60 for about 2 yrs and the sound was outstanding, considering the small size of the unit. I switched into the Roland AC90 recently to provide a wider spread of the sound as well as a little more crisp sound out of my nylon strings flamenco guitar. The bigger 8 inch woofer speakers as well as the added tweeters makes a wider and greater difference in the sound. When properly adjusted, this amp can give you a nice quality sound in a small package. Very practical to carry the unit due to low weight and case included. Highly recomended.

After one year Still loving it

By Henry Monday

from Dandridge, TN

Comments about Roland AC-90 90W 2x8 Stereo Acoustic Chorus Guitar Combo Amp:

A year ago I was looking for a good acoustic amp, I tried the Marshall AS50 and AS100 acoustic amps, the Behringer Ultra Acoustic 900, and the Roland AC90. I was sold on the acoustic purity of the Roland, It was amazing how good it sounded, just like miking your guitar. The chorus, well it's Roland, doesn't get any better as most already know. It was a bit on the high side price wise, I would like to have seen the price a little lower, but I guess you get what you pay for. Everyone has to decide for themselves, the Marshall amps were good, but i didn't like the fact that the phantom power was not switched, and the Behringer was a good amp, but just lacked in the overall sound quality. I haven't regretted spending the extra money. If your looking, definitely give it a test drive, you may decide to save up a little extra dough for this baby.

Buying a used Roland AC90

By John Ward

from Fairbury Illinois

Comments about Roland AC-90 90W 2x8 Stereo Acoustic Chorus Guitar Combo Amp:

First of all, I rarely buy used musical equipment online, but in this case it was through Guitar center. I have had very good luck buying online from GC and I have been a customer of theirs since 2005. I still won't but guitars and such, as I like to test drive them first before I buy. IN this case I bought a used Roland AC 90 acoustic amp. Now as far as Acoustic amps are concerned I consider this to be one of the best. I have played through Acoustic, Fishman, and Fenders, but the AC90 for my ears is the most realistic. It came in a Vox amp box with some cheesy packaging, but seemed to be OK. The outside had a few love taps, but I expected that as it was nearly 1/2 the price of new one. It plays flawlessly, every knob works, and works as intended. The sound is incredible, one of which I have been looking for since the early 70s, when I bought my first aftermarket pickup from Markly and it sounded horrible, I use a Takamine six string with a blue tube system. I don't use any other gadgets but was thinking about adding an inline mic, which the guitar come equipped for, but for now I am seriously enjoying my new (used) AC90. Thanks to all that were part of putting this together.

5 Stars Well Earned!

from Central Cal.

Comments about Roland AC-90 90W 2x8 Stereo Acoustic Chorus Guitar Combo Amp:

There is a good reason the AC 90 has 5 stars, it's that good. I am a working musician that is working with multiple bands and recording sessions. The comment I get most often is about the quality of my tone. My favorite sound for the acoustic guitar comes from plugging into the AC 90. At my last gig I plugged a jazz hollowbody into the AC 90 and ran it to my 65 Fender Deluxe for the bottom end and extra volume. An idea I got from Jason Mraz. Wow! Very Sweet. Another perk for working player is the weight and size of this amp. For Praise and worship guitar players, I play at my church at least two Sundays a month, plugging the AC 90 into the PA and using it to control tone and as my monitor. The sound man commented no other guitarist get that quality of sound. Buy it, you will be happy you did.
