I sent it back and got the SKB molded case instead. Much much better.

This case is excellent because it is durable it has wheels and handle for easy moving. I also liked the additional padding on the insides to give my keyboard additional protection while on the inside.

Comments about Road Runner Keyboard Flight Case with Casters:

Love this case. Feel good about my keyboard being protected. Heavy duty. I've had road cases like this before and would not go to any other. Sure they are heavy but that's what I want. It does have wheels so you can pull which does come in handy. Also if I would get a bigger keyboard I can trim the inside by readjusting the velco padding. Great idea! If you want quality and protection for your keyboards this case is the one.

Comments about Road Runner Keyboard Flight Case with Casters:

After minimal usage, the latch broke because the metal is too soft. I called Roadrunner and the customer service attitude was horrible. They refuse to accept the material is defective and will do nothing to assist in fixing the case in any way. I now have a useless case. Thank you Roadrunner.

Comments about Road Runner Keyboard Flight Case with Casters:

If you want a case with wheels that do what wheels are supposed to do, don't buy this one. The wheels bind and don't turn leaving marks on tile and pavement. If I wouldn't have paid for wheels, this would have been a nice case.

                Great Case

Comments about Road Runner Keyboard Flight Case with Casters:

I have yet to find another case as durable and protective as this one. The inside is super easy to fit to your keyboard. It is very well built and I don't have to worry about getting to a gig. Great for protecting my keyboard from amps and other cases that seek to destroy my board in the trailer on the way to a gig. This case is really heavy (especially since my board is only 18lbs) but the peace of mind is definitely worth it. Hard to find anything comparable within $100 of this case. I will definitely be buying more for the rest of my keyboards.

Comments about Road Runner Keyboard Flight Case with Casters:

This case offers an excellent level of protection for your keyboard, however it is heavy and bulky and it is very difficult to handle and carry by one single person, the casters could be improved in quality and capacity as well as RoadRunner should consider to add a handle to be carried by two persons since it becomes heavier when carrying a proffesional keyboard. Thanks to Musicians Friend, you are the best.

                About Me Experienced

Comments about Road Runner Keyboard Flight Case with Casters:

...but not for the reason you think. I'll get this out of the way first: Any of you reviewers out there that love the level of protection, love the construction, love the features, love the hardware, love the durability, and love the value, but in the same breath whine about the weight...I'll spell it out for you: ALL OF THAT MEANS WEIGHT. Do you really think you can have all that protection with any less weight? The plastic cases (of any brand) won't protect your board to the level that this one will, just ask the guy who stood (should have done it shoeless) on his. Quality construction, heavy duty hardware, thick materials, and bulletproof durability ALL EQUAL WEIGHT. When you bought your 88 note board you have to have had some clue that weight would figure in to your purchase. If you need a case that weighs less, that's all right, just don't whine that it doesn't protect your gear properly. And if you have any suggestions as to how to make this one lighter and still retain that high level of performance, I'm sure the manufacturer would like to hear from you.

No, I returned mine because it was too big. My board is a Yamaha XS-8, which I always thought was a huge board, but there was just too many of the foam pieces needed to securely hold the board in place. There was too much unsused area inside the case being used up by the foam pieces. I'm a "car guy", I don't own a truck, I own cars, lots of cars. I don't particularly like the look of sport utility vehicles, I love the look of cars. The car I use to haul my gear is a Dodge Magnum. No matter how I have this case situated in the car (either standing up or laying flat), there isn't room enough for the rest of my set up, a Motion Sound KBR-3D, Hammond XK-3, plus stand, chair, and other incidentals. I need a case that has inside dimensions to match the size of the board, no larger. I'm looking into a semi ridged soft case or buying a hard case from a company in Texas that builds them one at a time specifically for any certain size of board, and the price (even with shipping) is comperable to this one, and the level of protection appears to be just as good, in fact they look very similar to this one. They are the dimensions of your particular board, no bigger. Also, when you're arranging the foam pieces to accomidate your board, don't have the keyboard too close to where you're working, the foam pieces shed minute flecks of the material, some started to fall down inside the keybed area of the board. Once the board was inside, it was properly secured and I have absolutely no doubt that there is nothing including falling off a truck (which will never happen to me) that would ever damage the board, it's that well constructed. It's just too big. If you drive a truck or SUV, and need the absolute best protection for your board, this one is it.
