This stand is just waht I expected based on the item description. I'm totally satified and would recommend it. It's sturdy and I have confidence that the rack that I use it to support is safe and sound. It does wobble a little but, that's because of the design of the legs that allow it to be adjusted to various heights. Does not appear to be a flaw. I would buy it again.

Ordered a couple of these (different sizes). The welds are bad and there aren't many right angles going on. One leg is at such an angle that it destabilizes the whole stand since it has a longer reach to the ground due to not being perpendicular. All legs on both stands are wobbly because of the way the height-adjustment was implemented (inner legs sliding inside outer ones). Tolerances are bad all around which leads to said instability as everything wiggles and nothing fits tight. Two feet fell out immediately as the legs were too big for them, which I fixed by jamming folded paper in there. First and last time I tried On-Stage.

Comments about On-Stage Stands WS8540 Small Heavy-Duty T-Stand:

This is an absolute piece of garbage. Quality is as poor as poor gets. Unfortunately, I bought several. I've had to turn a couple of them into parts supply for the two I'm still using. Bought them to get some 2x15 side-fill cabinets off the floor. The cabinets fit but, the stand is flimsy and wobbles. the nuts and bolts rattle out of them, the feet fall off, and the finish is incapable of withstanding any abuse. Save your money and save yourself the aggravation. This company should be ashamed charging this much for something so junky.

      Comments about On-Stage Stands WS8540 Small Heavy-Duty T-Stand:

I bought this to support a 4-space rackmount case. I can fit a small monitor underneath for my guitar modeling rig. The only issue I have is the buttons are pretty stiff and it's tedious to push them in. I found it helpful to use something small and rigid with a rounded end to push these in and guide the legs out (to speed things up).

The product description says this stand is for medium format keyboards. This is not the case. I have a 61 keyboard and the stand was too small lengthwise. I'm sending it back and getting the larger one.

Perfect for my moderate weight keyboard. Width is adjustable so I can get the keyboard in a tight space in my studio. VEry sturdy.

              Flawed by Design

              By Tim Noltkamper _

              from Olathe, KS

              Comments about On-Stage Stands WS8540 Small Heavy-Duty T-Stand:

I bought this stand to support a 49 key MIDI keyboard, and possibly other equipment due to it's versatility. The second I set it up, I knew I would have to return it. I had not even extended the legs, and it was wobbling like crazy and making a racket. The problem is that the telescoping legs do not fit tightly and are only held by a pin on one side. The stand would probably be fine otherwise, but the legs wobble way too much. I believe it could hold a good deal of weight, but what good is that it's wobbling around and making a bunch of noise. Also, the legs are annoying to adjust because you have to push the button in for every inch you move them. If you want it full-height you will press each button several times. I will be exchanging this for an x-stand.

Just What I Was Looking For

              By Ruth B. Rogers

              from Fort Worth, Texas

              Comments about On-Stage Stands WS8540 Small Heavy-Duty T-Stand:

The group of young men and women who helped me at this store here in Fort Worth was one of the nicest and most helpful group of people I have found in a very long time in regard to musical instruments and items in regard to the music field. I'd been to another dealer here and really got ugly treatment so I'm sorry I did not remember these people first and just where they are located. I'd taken my grandson there on several occasions to purchase things in regard to his guitars, but I'd never been inside or really paid much attention to where it was. When I REALLy needed help with selecting this stand, they provided it. This stand is a real help to older people like myself who need to not have the usual x type support stand in regard to putting the bench under the keyboard or to having to bother with that in regard to wires to sustain pedal, microphone, and/or headphones. It will support a lot of weight although that was not my problem since I use a Casio WK 210 on it. I will continue to go back to this wonderful place for future purchases in regard to anything having to do with music. I'm sure my Grandson will also....I'll encourage him to do so...RR

              Comments about On-Stage Stands WS8540 Small Heavy-Duty T-Stand:

Very simple and well made stand. In fact, built like a tank. Plastic end plugs can come loose, but that would be true of anything. This is a great value!
