This is a real decent, inexpensive case. I don't know how long it would hold up under years of road trekking abuse, but the interior is lush and the quality of construction is perfectly sufficient for my needs. I have a Tokai Flying Vee and it fit snugly, but I did have to slice into the fabric to remove some foam from the apex near the compartment and glue the fabric back in at that location in order to accommodate the neck joint area. Easy fix, not a big deal at all; the neck lays flat across the cargo lid and my Vee fits well now.

I purchased this case because I could not find one specific for my LTD V-401 guitar. I was thinking it was going to fit but unfortunately it was not even close. It is a really nice case too. It has a good sized internal storage compartment and excellent padding. It is very stylish and has a lock for protection. I just wish they would have provided more specifics like measurements or the models it fits. So I'm writing this to warn anyone else who has a V styled guitar to do some more research otherwise you will be returning it like me.

Comments about Musician's Gear V-Style Case:

Bought this for a rr v Jackson model Js32t . Guitar finder was not helpfull so bought this based on measurements . Did Not fit . My misfortune your gain if you have an rr style look elsewhere . That being said lets get to the review . Exterior of case looked good clean edges decent hardware . however when i opened it before i even tried the guitar the first thing i noticed was the devider that has the storage lid attached to it was loose and swung with the door . I started laughing. The other heal devider that the neck sits on was loose also with no padding just velvety material on top. Expected better protection, expected better quality based on look of exterior . Now my King v does not fit this case either take note. case looks like a it would fit standered v type guitar . For me even had my guitar fit it would still be going back. This case needs an interior redemption to match the exterior .

Comments about Musician's Gear V-Style Case:

I had to modify the case by cutting away a small piece of Styrofoam to allow the neck to sit all the way down in order to get it to close- so, I had to cut into the lining to get at the Styrofoam. So, at first, I was not too happy about the whole thing, but it worked out and I think that it's a really great case- it has a lot of storage space and the V fits in really well. I guess I'd just say that you might have to do something similar in at least some situations- mine is a 2002 model.

You get what you pay for...if this were cheaper.

Comments about Musician's Gear V-Style Case:

Looks fine, it'll do the job, but for the price ($99), I shouldn't have to chisel out extra room just to place my Warmoth Flying V shape in the groove (the neck joint is the issue, the body fits snug), or have to use something to glue the corners back together. I don't know if the corners on the lid ripped open, or someone used a box-knife too deep and nicked it, because it's a pretty clean cut, but quality control sure missed that one. Luckily, my headstock isn't the large Gibson V head, so the length fits, which was my concern when ordering. Worth getting if you're on a desperate budget, but if you have the extra $60 or so, aim for better.

          Not bad...

          By Brian MacDonald

          from Gainesville, Fl

Comments about Musician's Gear V-Style Case:

I just received one of these today, ordered to house an older neck-thru B.C. Rich DLXJRV. I have had another case from this company for a few years now, and as long as you are carefull closing one that is a tight fit to protect the alignment tabs on the latches, the case holds up well to the usual road abuse. The universal V case is apparently made with a bolt-on neck in mind, as I had to cut away some padding and modify the area where the top of the neck starts to widen and become part of the body. Anyone with a little know-how will find this to not be too hard or time consuming, but it was annoying to have to do. Aside from that area, the case fits the guitar quite well in all other areas, and has a generous amount of padding on the inside of the lid to keep the instrument from moving. The cargo pocket area is also quite large, and will easily hold a small array of pedals, cables, etc. I only gave 4 stars because of the needed modification. Other than that it is a very good case for the money.

Comments about Musician's Gear V-Style Case:

I bought this case to store and protect a vintage Washburn FV-2V and it appears it will work well for that application. I had to hand crush the side walls of the "V" foam cavity to get the Washburn to fit. (about 1/8th of an inch all around)
Entry level hinges and latches on this product..I'd have given this case a 4 star rating had these items been a little heavier in construction.

Comments about Musician's Gear V-Style Case:

Well-made, reasonably priced case. My Flying V is from a build-it-yourself kit. Since V-style guitars vary from manufacturer, and seeing the person doing the review before me had problems fitting it in the case, I was prepared for it.

The only issue I had, actually had to do with the guitar itself. It would not fit in the case with the strap hooked up.....this is because I had the "strap-lock" hooked up. That sticks out a little.....so always detach the strap whem putting it in the case. Worked fine once I took the strap off....
