I bought this case for my Martin DCX1KE and it is perfect. It is very heavy, but it's all protection. The case is guranteed to keep your guitar safe. Mine was knocked down a flight of stairs and there is only one small scratch on the edge of the case. I'm not worried about my guitar's safety at all.

The case is well constructed, a bit heavy, but is very functional. Quality is not quite what I expected even for a low end product. There are only 3 latches and they have sharp edges which will scratch your hand and/or guitar. Am having to file down the sharp edges. However the 3 latches keep the case completely closed and will give good protection to the guitar. This is a low end good quality case, however considering the price, there should be more attention paid to the fine details.

Comments about Martin 345 Dreadnought Hardshell Guitar Case:

It's a great case, nice quality. Not as deep as I would like it to be. I don't use it because I have another case that is deeper and will hold my iPad under the guitar without putting pressure on the guitar when closed. Other than that, great case.

3-ply is not the best protection for your Martin but this is sufficient for loading in the trunk and taking to local gigs. Fit and finish are very nice. No lock.

Comments about Martin 345 Dreadnought Hardshell Guitar Case:

Even though this case was include with my purchase of a Martin DRS-1, I would have gotten it anyway. It's build quality is excellent, with thick padding to protect the body, and a sturdy outer shell that I imagine will take a beating and still keep the guitar well protected. Not sure I'd gig with it, but for the road it is all the protection you'd need. If you spent a fair amount of cash on your guitar, it deserves a case of this quality.
