Overview

The latest development in Mackie's small format mixers, the ProFX series v2 sounds better than ever and supplies convenient features at every knob, fader, input and putput. This is the ProFX4v2, the smallest of the ProFX line. It features 2 extremely low-noise Mackie Vita mic preamps designed to add life to any input, as well as the all-new ReadyFX effects engine with 16 great-sounding effects including reverbs, delays and choruses.

Live applications
A 5-band graphic EQ is available on the master output, switchable for tuning mains or monitors, and an aux output is perfect for driving a monitor mix. There is a 2-band EQ (80Hz and 12kHz) on all three input channels. The input scheme features two XLR inputs with TRS option, as well as a dual 1/4" stereo input channel.

You can directly connect guitar, bass and other instruments via Hi-Z input or connect a microphone and take advantage of the Vita preamp. It features a 100Hz low-cut filter and 48V phantom power on all mic channels, along with a stereo RCA tape I/O with input level control. A headphone output with separate level control gives your engineer a second point of reference.

Built like a Mackie
Mackie 's legendary œBuilt-Like-A-Tank design is reflected in the solid steel chassis, tough ABS side protection, and quality posts and knobs combine to protect your investment. Rugged and roadworthy are two of the most common adsjectives used to describe Mackie equipment. With mixers, that is a critical attribute.

Comments about Mackie ProFX4v2 4-Channel Professional FX Mixer:

Use this mixer with a pair of powered speakers for live performaces. We have a trio. Run keys/vocal, sax/vocal through the mix... no KB amp. Drums accoustic...he's loud enough. Mixer exceeded expectations in every category. Bang for the buck? Can't beat it!

Comments about Mackie ProFX4v2 4-Channel Professional FX Mixer:

I use this mixer and the Harbinger 15" PA speaker (V2115 model) for my home karaoke system. And I use a Nexus 10 to send YouTube Karaoke audio to the mixer and video to the Samsung Smart TV. This setup is perfect for my purpose. I should add that the sound coming from this system is awesome.

Comments about Mackie ProFX4v2 4-Channel Professional FX Mixer:

I use this for a 'non-traditional' use. I got this mixer to run through my Pioneer DJ turntable which I have for home use. I have it connected to 2 JBL powered monitors. I decided on this for it's versatility, compact size and price point. I did quite a bit of research to find the best match for my requirements and decided on this. I am very pleased with the performance so far.

I use the 5-band graphic EQ is available on the master output to mould the sound that I want from the turntable. This EQ is great for this purpose. I used the 2-band EQ (80Hz and 12kHz) on the input channels (available on all three) while setting the levels.

Although I do not have a use for the built in effects of the mixer I hooked it up to my keyboard and mic to test it out and the reverb/delay effects were pretty decent. It will serve you well in a practice setting or if you are doing a small coffee shop type of set up.

Instead of a radio dials it has a 'Stereo pan' button that will pan CH1 (Left) and CH2 (Right). There is also a headphone output with separate level control that is useful.

There are also two useful buttons in the 5-band EQ section. One gives you the ability to toggle the EQ between sound coming out of MAIN OUT and MONITOR OUT. The other button allows you to set the EQ to the mix or bypass it with one click.

All in all this mixer serves all the requirements that were needed for my setup.

Comments about Mackie ProFX4v2 4-Channel Professional FX Mixer:

I originally bought this mixer to really just practice. I could plug in everything I needed too and rehearse without setting all my gear up. I also wanted someone that if I needed to I could gig with and this little baby has everything you need. Built in effects that actually sounds good, built in EQ, low cut, FX in monitor, and more! Definitely best mixer in my book that has 4 channels while having everything you need.

Comments about Mackie ProFX4v2 4-Channel Professional FX Mixer:

First off, I do a lot of online research to find the best match for my need within my budget. For a 4 channel mixer with basic effects this was it!!!

I got this mixer so that I could have more control of my Pioneer PLX 500 turntable. This is perfect for the job!

I use the 5 band EQ on the MAIN out often to mould the sound that's coming out of my turntable. This is easily switchable 'ON' or 'OFF' from the main monitor. There's also a 2 band EQ on each channel that I sometime use.

I have a stereo configuration on the setup. To pan the 2 channels (CH1 to Left and CH 2 to Right) you have to press the 'STEREO PAN' button right above channels 1 and 2.

I sometimes use the 'Phones' output that works great.

In this setup I do not use the preset 'effects' that's on board. However I connected this to my keyboard and mic and was able to test it out. This is was able to generate enough reverb/delay to add touch of color to the vocals. For this price point it delivers on every requirement that I was looking for.
