Overview

The 'Slim' in this Godin ACS-SA nylon string guitar's moniker refers to the 1.715" neck width at the nut-a mere 16th of an inch wider than Godin's standard electric guitar nut width. If you do most of your playing on a guitar with a fairly narrow neck (such as most solidbody electric guitars) this is the ACS-SA guitar for you. The slim neck of the Godin ACS-SA Slim guitar along with the Ergocut shaping technique and 16" fingerboard radius provide for a very easy transition for steel string guitar players looking to integrate nylon string guitar sounds into their music. Aside from the new neck, the ACS-SA Slim shares all of the same features that have made the Godin ACS-SA nylon string guitar an industry standard. The chambered, silverleaf maple body with cedar top results in a guitar that is virtually free of feedback, making it easy to use even in loud stage situations. Synth access comes courtesy of the 13-pin connector for direct control of Roland GR Series and Axon AX100 guitar synths.

Includes gig bag.

Comments about Godin ACS-SA Slim Nylon String Cedar Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Personal use. Jazz, mostly. Small hands, so narrow neck is a definite plus.

Excellent Electric Nylon

By joseph chess

from La Mesa California

Comments about Godin ACS-SA Slim Nylon String Cedar Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is my second Godin. I bought the second one for my son. These guitars play more like An electric guitar. Or maybe a high-end ovation guitar. If you're after a more traditional feeling guitar this probably is not the guitar for you. Go does make it wider neck of those finger pickers don't want a more traditional size. Anyway the electronics on it are great they sound so good. It also does not put out a whole lot of sound without being plugged in. This is a gig guitar. Anyway I enjoy mine very much. It sounds very good for home studio plug-in and go. Anyway I'm not the greatest guitarist in the world but I can sure make some nice sounds on my recordings with this guitar. Live performances are awesome also.

Excellant customer service

By TOMMY EVANS

from Tom in Richmond, Virginia

Comments about Godin ACS-SA Slim Nylon String Cedar Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

While the instrument is everything Godin describes my hat is off to the employees of Guitar Center. My issue with this guitar was its place of origin. Godin is a Canadian company, however they also have an assembly plant in New Hampshire USA and Germany along with three in Canada. Now, to some of you this may sound picky. I am very concerned with quality and wasn't comfortable with the components made in one factory then shipped and assembled in another country. If you examine these instruments closely you will see on the back of the guitar head a circular stamp reading either "hand-crafted in Canada" or "assembled in USA from parts hand-crafted in Canada". I was most comfortable with the guitar completely crafted, assembled, finished, tested, and passing quality assurance standards in their home factory. Customer service here at Guitar Center informed me those in the warehouse would be willing to open the boxes and find the guitar I was looking for and also check for blemishes when the instrument was found. I ordered this Godin Multiac in black pearl. It was received in absolutely perfect condition. Guitar Centers' employees met my every request! This is a beautiful, awesome instrument. I also combined it with Fishmans' Loudbox Artist. Thanks guys!

Sweet sound

By William Bright

from Waverly, Iowa

Comments about Godin ACS-SA Slim Nylon String Cedar Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I bought the black pearl model and it looks as good as it plays. Except for a minor string height adjustment it was good to go, out of the box. I spent about 8 hours playing the first day it arrived. I set up my amp and was amazed at the sound on each individual string. I was also impressed with the service at Guitar Center. By accident, I ordered the wrong model guitar, and I didn't catch the error until it had already shipped. I called Guitar Center and they recalled the shipped guitar and sent me the "slim" model that I wanted. If you are considering adding a nylon string sound to your set, the Godin is a good choice, in my opinion, and Guitar Center is the go to place......

Can't put it down!

By Daniel FRAZIER

from Hot Springs, Ar.

Comments about Godin ACS-SA Slim Nylon String Cedar Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have had this guitar for about 3 months now, and I like it more every time I pick it up, which is a lot! I was looking for a nylon stringed acoustic electric, and looked at many. I have a few nice guitars (Martin HD28 and D15, Gibson ES175, Yamaha SA2000, Takamine nylon) and I reach for my Godin every time! I got the "slim" neck and couldn't be happier. I was a little concerned, since my fingers are a bit big, but have had no problems chording or soloing. The sound and playability are superior. I will definitely consider Godin any time I need ( it's a sickness) to add to my collection. Well built, and m I think one of the more beautiful guitars in my collection. Also, dealing with guitar center has been nothing but a pleasure. They are very knowledgeable and helpful, as well as professional and pleasant. I give this guitar and experience an full 5 stars.

Excellent

By Michael

from maitland, Fl

Comments about Godin ACS-SA Slim Nylon String Cedar Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar three days ago because of two reasons. One, I've read about it for quite awhile and knew it was probably the one I had been looking for with the the perfect neck for a classical, and two, I was tired of trying to adjust the pickup on the Roland GR-20. I never could get all of the strings to come through and this guitar does it perfectly! Built in synth adadability. I play a PRS Santana, original Fender Telecoustic, and an Ibanez, but this is my all around go to guitar now. It was worth the money. My only question is, what does the switch do?

Highly versatile instrument

By Rick

from Frisco, TX

Comments about Godin ACS-SA Slim Nylon String Cedar Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar about two weeks ago for recording and writing purposes. It does everything I expected and then some. The craftsmanship and materials are very high quality. It plays beautifully and you can get any sound imaginable as a nylon acoustic-electric. It is an ideal recording instrument and sounds amazing live as well. My primary music focus with this guitar is Blues and adult level mainstream pop.

Amazing Guitar

By Gabriel

from OH

Comments about Godin ACS-SA Slim Nylon String Cedar Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've been playing guitar for over 20 years and of all the guitars I've owned this is by far my favorite. I love the way it sounds, each string comes through the amp clearly and well defined and with the eq you can really change the tone. The neck is easy to play and lends itself to being creative and moving around the neck in ways that I hadn't before. It doesn't project though unless you have it going through an amp. I highly recommend this guitar.

Nice Gig Rig

By Bob

from Charleston, SC

Comments about Godin ACS-SA Slim Nylon String Cedar Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've had the ACS-SA Slim for about a month. Nice playing guitar with great classical sounds, perfect for parlor or small venue. Nothing acoustic about this guitar, must be played through some type of amp device. Have not used synth feature yet, but so far I like it a lot. Adds another dimension to a gig that you can't get from steel strings.
