Overview

The Genelec M030 active studio monitors strike a perfect balance for project and professional studios. They are capable of effectively reproducing low end frequencies when mixing dance music, as well as less bass-intensive program material such as commercials and acoustic music. Its sound is clear and honest, and mix decisions made on the M030AM can be made with confidence.

For studios with multiple monitor sets, the M030AM is a perfect middle, sandwiched somewhere between an Auratone clone and a monitor set with high power and a subwoofer. They are made from fully recyclable fiber composite material, and feature Genelec's Intelligent Signal Sensing, which powers the unit down after not seeing signal for a while.

Little Engine that Could

By Tony Huber

from Dickson, TN

Comments about Genelec M030 Active 2-Way Monitor (Each):

We came to listening room at the Nashville Guitar Center thinking we would be buying the well respected Adam A7X. We brought three CD's, one balanced, one non compressed and one bass heavy. We tried 5 pairs of monitors mostly in the $750.00 each range. All very strong equipment. We ended up finding the Genelec M030, the least impressive looking, cheapest and with the smallest driver sounding best on all three CDs. After sounding best in with the first two CD's, I thought with the bass heavy CD coming up, that this would be were the Genelec would really suffer. Yet, once again, but not as clearly, the Genelecs were the best. BTW, once in the studio, they sounded even better. What a great addition to our studio.
