Comments about Gallien-Krueger 1001RB-II 700/50W Biamp Bass Head:

One of the best heads I have ever used. I play Stingray 5's through this head, and have never heard them sound as great as they do through the GK 1001RB II in conjunction with an Ampeg SVT-410HLF. In fact, this head sounds so good, I will be purchasing another as a back up head, as well as use the second head as a slave to power a second SVT-410HLF.

      Finally, I found THE AMP!!

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 1001RB-II 700/50W Biamp Bass Head:

I had tried a mark bass prior to this but that wasn't satisfying my ears really. So I went to GC and returned it. Played around on a few other amps, found my self jammin' on the GK through a neo 410. Simple eq, love the biamp mode and the boost option. The contour and presence is also great. THis amp is not hard to dial in tones. Its has a quiet fan too. My other amp sounded like a mini jet was built inside lol. If you want the growl im you tone(which is tamable btw) get this amp.

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 1001RB-II 700/50W Biamp Bass Head:

This little monster is awesome. I have been playing for a church for almost 30 years now and I have used many amps including the beloved Ampeg and this baby is very nice. I just got it so I am still getting used to it, but so far this baby is a beast and I cannot wait to get to know it a little bit better.

WITHOUT A DOUBT ONE OF THE BEST AMPS I HAVE OWN

      By RUBEN LOPEZ

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 1001RB-II 700/50W Biamp Bass Head:

Great amp, I can't really say enough [good] things about this amp is by far one of the best investments I have ever made, I used to own 3 ampeg heads(svt450-svt1000-svt-cl)and they are great amps as well no discussion about it, but after a while I really got tired of hauling those monsters to gigs every time,I tried many different ones from MESA to EDEN and this one was the one that really impressed me GK amps are light weight compare to ampeg and sound wise i really dig the punch & growl, it's very easy to use/dial in your tone from clean to grungy overdrive by tweaking some knobs, it is VERY LOUD, believe or not with my svt-cl i keep my volume about 11-12 o clock in rehearsals just to keep up with the rest of the band but with the GK never been past 4-5 i really recommend this amps. I'm thinking about get me a 700rbII as a back up just in case

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 1001RB-II 700/50W Biamp Bass Head:

I just bought this amp head with the Neo 410 and Neo 115 cabs, and let me tell you all of this gear is way above par. I was expecting good but when i got it home and got it all hooked up, i was is awe within seconds of hearing this beauty for the first time. I am sold on GK gear all of my bass amplification systems and speaker systems will be GK from now on. I am begging you try GK out before making any decisions, I am now convinced you will be a GK fan too!!

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 1001RB-II 700/50W Biamp Bass Head:

I have had this head for two years ,my sons got it for me.I used ampeg for a long time and it is very good gear but, gk has it beat on many areas.I recently got the neo 810 cab.My band plays alot of outdoor festivals as well as club dates. This setup is beyond anything I can explain.More headroom and punch than you would ever need. The 810 is much lighter and cleaner than ampeg in my opinion.I am convinced that gk heads and cabs are the way to go.GC has been awesome to work with also.

      AWESOME

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 1001RB-II 700/50W Biamp Bass Head:

Purchased this amp and paired it up with the GK neo 410 cabinet. Took it to a large venue a week ago and tried it for the first time. Not only did it sound fantastic but I could even keep up with the lead playing through his Line-6 150 amp with a 4-12 cabinet and I only had it turned up to 1 1/2! The equalizer was easy to tweak to get the perfect sound that I was looking for. If you play anything larger that a club I would reccommend this setup. You will not be sorry.

      Best Head Unit Out There

      By Andy Murray

      from Darragh, PA

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 1001RB-II 700/50W Biamp Bass Head:

I have been playing bass for some time and 2 years ago when I bought this head unit along with a NEO 410 cab I became a GK addict! This is by far the best and most felxible head unit ever. I can run my EB Music Man Stringray through it and get some sick growl for my grunge band and hook my Fender P-Deluxe up to it and get very soft smooth tones for my blues and jazz band. Not to metion this thing is very durrable. I play 4 to 5 times a week and I move my head unit from practice to practice, gig to gig (I have 2 GK cabs) and this thing has never once skipped a beat. A month ago while packing my car after a show it feel 4 feet from the trunk of my car and hit solid pavement. Other that a dent on the corner nothing was affected. It still works perfect and sounds great! I recommend this head unit along with any other GK product to anyone! They are THE BEST at what they do and I will never buy any other bass amp brand ever again!

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 1001RB-II 700/50W Biamp Bass Head:

it took me a while to get to this review but there was a lot of trial and error. ampeg cabs, swr, hartke, peavay and something was missing. this was confusing because my hartke ha3500 sounded great thru ampeg and swr cabs. after fustrated gigs and practices i've seen the light. GK head, GK cabs. so no more settling for 'great' deals on used ampegs or swr and i dont have eden money. i've never heard anything thru my fingers like this. the 1001 rb was made to be bi-amped. i know some of you are saying 'da' but us bargin shoppers have to learn the hard way. anyway i finally dropped my 1001 rb atop a gk 115 neo, went bi-amp mode and as ray lewis would say 'wow' so i took my swr cabs and my old peavey 215 and said bye-bye and hello gk410 neo. i'm in bassplayer heaven. BTW for bassist there nothing more fulfilling than contempory gospel and hard quartet. you tone, definition, big bottom for slappin poppin fingerin runnin and even some tappin. the GK 1001 RB with almost any GK cab puts it down lastly if your on a budget try one of these with a 410 goldline you'll be surprised. there have been some good deals on these used as the previous owners give up on these. make there lost your gain. also 'sorry' i'm playing a hohner b bass 6 string, ibanez sr305 and squire vibe 70's delux tuned in d and oh how sweet a 4 string it is. grace and peace to all!
