This bass has a great sound. You can get a beefy low end or a brighter sound out it or anywhere in between! It has great action. Making easy and fun to play. The ESP LTD B-50 bass is great for beginners and even experienced players! The fact that the neck has 24 frets can open up many possibilities for riffs, walking bass lines and solos. This bass will fit just about any style of music.

Comments about ESP LTD B-50 Bass Guitar:

I have had this Bass for over ten years. Played in many metal bands, and this bass never disappointed. Great tone and play-ability, even in extreme drop tuning(adgc, c#f#be) better tonality, and balls than more expensive basses. I play with my fingers, and I also play really aggressive, and it never came out of tune. Actually want to buy another couple, as well as one or two, five-string versions.

Comments about ESP LTD B-50 Bass Guitar:

I'm not an experienced bass player so I can't tell you if this is a great bass or not. I like it but it's my first. I guess for a beginner it's a very good bass. When it showed up it had terrible buzz on the E and A strings, so I took it GC and they did a truss rod adjustment for free and its a lot better, still a little buzz playing the F note but it doesn't come through the amp. For what I paid I feel like I got a good deal and free shipping was nice.

Comments about ESP LTD B-50 Bass Guitar:

This bass played good right out of the box. The only tweaking necessary was adjusting the intonation of the G string. Looks good, too - nice transparent red finish and wood grain.

Active pickups mean that it won't play if the battery dies - plus, the output is lower than my Fender and Peavey basses and the tone isn't as deep. Since I use only the middle pickup, I may replace it with a passive pickup.

Comments about ESP LTD B-50 Bass Guitar:

I'm mainly a guitar player and I wanted to start learning how to play bass. I bought an ESP beginner guitar for my son a while back and was very impressed for the price, so I bought this bass for myself. Other than a little fret buzz in the 1-3 range, it plays and sounds fantastic. I'm pretty sure a setup will fix the buzz when I get around to it. I'm a beginning bass player but as a long time guitar player I can tell this is a really great value and a wonderful beginning or intermediate bass.

Comments about ESP LTD B-50 Bass Guitar:

This bass guitar is worth way more than two hundred in my opinion. A common problem with bass guitars is fret buzz. This guitar has zero fret buzz playing open and very minimal when holding down a string. This guitar has a very nice feel and weight. In my opinion it is very light for the size. For those who play Rocksmith, yes this does work with it. I bought a Dean Edge 10 a month ago and had to send it back because it didn't work with Rocksmith for some unknown reason. This bass is definitely worth the price.

I love this thing! I've had it for a couple months, and I'm pretty happy with it. It's got a little fret buzz, but that's not really a big deal.

    Too darn cheap.

    By Christian Bergeron

    from Methuen, MA

Comments about ESP LTD B-50 Bass Guitar:

I've had this bass for about 4 months now, and no complaints whatsoever. I've been using in D standard for a Motley Crue-esque band now, and this bass has performed way above the expectation. The build is fantastic, the pick-ups are better than 90% of stock pick-ups on the market, and this thing just looks sweet. The weight balance, perfect, coming from a guy whose other bass is an Epiphone Thunderbird, I've gotta say that the durability, the price, and the look of this bass are absolutely perfect.

    Fantastic

    By Christian Bergeron

    from Methuen, MA

Comments about ESP LTD B-50 Bass Guitar:

I'd been playing bass for 4 years when I got this, and I have to say I'm deeply impressed. I also own an Epiphone Thunderbird IV, and I have to say that this bass is just as good, if not better than that Epiphone. This bass has such dynamic tone and a thunderous low end. I've played out a couple of times with this bad biy, and it creates a beautiful low end for my guitarist. This bass is worth three to four times what it's being sold for.
