The prewired DiMarzio FG2108 Pickguard is for Strat-style electric guitars with standard 11-hole pickguards. It's got H-4 DP217 pickups in the neck and middle positions and an HS-3 pickup in the bridge position.
The HS-4 pickups provide plenty of presence and brilliance, particularly on the high strings, yet yield no 60-cycle hum. The HS-3 is known for being a smooth and relatively quiet pickup that produces a sweet overdrive tone without jagged edges. These qualities combine perfectly with a heavily distorted amp, because the sound won't get muddy or messy.

These pickups really surprised me. They really handle high output, high gain really well. While the the loaded pickguard handles high output well, it's three way toggle, cross single coil ability maintains an amazing, versatile and well rounded fat sound at same time. These pickups made my very inexpensive guitar sound and feel just as good, if not better than some of the $1200 Fender strats that I have played. I would recommend this pickguard to any player looking to acquire an upgraded, versatile pickup arrangement.

I really like the fact that no soldering is required to install this pickguard. You simple insert the wires from your guitar into a block on the pickguard and tighten some screws. It took me less than 5 minutes to do it. The pickups themselves have that typical Yngwie tone. While some people complain about these being very low output, I find them quite a bit louder than stock Strat pickups.
