The amp's innovative technology gives you faster attack and improved dynamic response.

I just bought this amp yesterday to replace my 80 pound Twin Reverb, which is getting hard to cart around now. This Jazz 12 is so light at 20 pounds and has a great sound for jazz. It is highly responsive and the notes really jump out. The three tone controls work as volumes and cranking-up the master gives you tons of clean headroom. This thing is loud! It does has a fan for the amplifier which you can hear slightly when practicing in a quiet room, but it is not intrusive. Otherwise, it looks and sounds great. My only criticism is that it doesn't come with a cover. Fortunately, my Mesa Express 25 cover fits it perfectly, until a custom one arrives. Although I have only had this amp a day, it is destined to become my go-to amp. The weight means I can take it anywhere, and the 1/8th in auxiliary input means I can use backing tracks for practicing. Overall, a great product and highly recommended - check it out!

I returned this amp since even at 50% volume my hollowbody was louder? Maybe a bad unit but I'll stick with my Prnceton Chours

Comments about DV Mark DV Jazz 12 45 Watt 1x12 Jazz Combo:

This amp is unbelievable. Very light weight and perfectly set up for jazz guitar or rhythm guitar, Couldn't believe the sound quality. My only complaint is the script they used to Identify knobs and switches. Very difficult to read.. Website description and photo is rather sketchy. No photo of top and back control panels. No photo showing that it was an open back cabinet amp.

Comments about DV Mark DV Jazz 12 45 Watt 1x12 Jazz Combo:

This amp is light enough to lug around for gigs, and gives nice clean sound without distortion even at high volume. Traded in a Fender reverb tube amp for this (which cost more than 2x) and prefer this one...

Makes You Wonder: Solid State or Tube?

Comments about DV Mark DV Jazz 12 45 Watt 1x12 Jazz Combo:

This combo amp sounds GREAT! I think it gives me a more rounded tube tone than my HRD, even though it doesn't have tubes. I use a solid body Gibson Les Paul Studio (it's a 1980's model with odd single coil pickups or something) and it sounds excellent with that guitar. I am not impressed by how it sounds with my Alvarez acoustic, but it isn't marketed as an amp for acoustic guitars, so that's expected. It comes with a decent length (6ft) removable standard IEC power cable which is great for travel, but I do worry that the ground lift on/off button and the internal speaker on/off button will break while traveling as they potrude out (a switch, similar to the power switch would have been a more durable options). The amp is VERY light, so travel with it is easy. I assume the cooling fan would need replacement after a number of usage hours, so that's one maintance issue that needs to be considered. Back to the sound: The reverb is excellent!. My guess is a variety of parameters change as you turn it up, so it's not just a high/low selector knob for the reverb channel. Actually, I think there is a lot of "behind the scenes" processing going on with this amp (compressors, EQ's, gain stages, etc.). The sound seems so modified by the internal processor that I feel the sound is ruined when I plug a footpedal in front of it and try to tweak things on my end. I play semi-professionally in a mellow funk/reggae/hip-hop band and a tradition jazz ensemble and it works awesome in both of those environments and is certainly loud enough to play in a small club.

Best sounding Solid State amp yet

Comments about DV Mark DV Jazz 12 45 Watt 1x12 Jazz Combo:

I like jazz and love a warm, clear, articulate sound that is balanced and full. This amp does it. I enjoyed the YouTube videos of jazz players using it, and took a chance. When it arrived and I plugged in, it surpassed my expectations. When I plugged it into some of my extension cabinets... WOW... all sound great, but the Celestion 12-65 is a magnificent match for this amp. I will probably swap a 12-65 speaker for the one that came with it, but the 12" that comes with it is just fine on its own too. For the price, you cannot go wrong... treat your self to this sweet amp... you will not regret it.

        DV Jazz 12 Amp

        By Mark

        from Houston, TX

Comments about DV Mark DV Jazz 12 45 Watt 1x12 Jazz Combo:

I've used several different amps over the years; Fender Deluxe, Trace Elliot, Peavey, Crate, Laney, Genz Benz, etc. This amp blows them all away!! It can handle the "clean sound" I desire, it doesn't weigh hardly anything and when you stack it - Look OUT! I'm using a Gretsch 6119 hollowbody and a Martin 0000-42 through it and it's the best sounding amp onstage. If you want to have a R & R dirty sound, stick with the others, but for a true acoustic amplification or Jazz tones; this is the one!
