Overview

The phrase ˜Studio standard" is thrown around far too often when describing recording gear. That phrase has never been more accurate than when describing the DT-770 by Beyerdynamic. Beyerdynamic invented the dynamic headphone 90 years ago, and the DT-770 has been a studio standard, closed-back headphone for over 30 of those years.

The DT-770 is a tracking headphone. It has high isolation to keep what's playing in your headphone in your headphone and out of your microphones. The isolation is also to keep outside sounds out of your monitor mix. The huge bass and crispy highs are there to inspire your performance throughout every session. Since these are professional, handmade in Germany tools, every part including the headband, cable, and earpads can be replaced, ensuring a life-long investment.

The only difference between the DT-770 STUDIO and the classic DT-770 is the name. This 80ohm, exclusive headphone is optimized for use in professional recording studios and hi-end recording gear. The word STUDIO has been added to drive the point home that this hi-impedance headphone belongs in the studio.

Great closed-back headphones overall.

Comments about Beyerdynamic DT 770 STUDIO Headphones:

I own headphones of all types, for recording, mixing, drum tracking, live mixing etc. These are really nice closed headphones. They have pretty balanced sound, not to hyped in the lows or highs. I find the upper mids to be a bit hot but mildly. Very comfortable. I do prefer S. HD280 overall in sound and comfort but these are great too. To me these sit in between ATH-M50x and HD280 where the 50x's are to hyped in the lows and highs and the HD280s' are great all around (for closed back applications). If your looking for headphones to drum with or mix in loud environments look at the Extreme Isolation EX-29 ...excellent headphones too with excellent isolation. (and much better sounding and more comfortable than the Vic Firth sets) ((Also note...these are 10X better than the Extreme Isolation from the early 2000's in terms of sound and comfort))

Comments about Beyerdynamic DT 770 STUDIO Headphones:

These were maybe the best "gear" investment I've ever made. I've actually gotten to the point where I prefer mixing with these over my monitors. Like with a lot of home setups, I struggled with getting the bass frequencies to sound consistent across multiple platforms. Out of everything I've tried, these have proven to be my best available option. I was very surprised by the low end on these things. I've also found them to be good for recording vocals, as I'm hearing more accurate tone as I'm singing.

Comments about Beyerdynamic DT 770 STUDIO Headphones:

Good product while it lasted. However, the tip of the audio jack at the end of the cable has broken off and I can't find anyone willing to fix it. I purchased at guitar center, they weren't of any help. They said to call the company. I did that, and they said they don't do repairs. So.... anyone know how I can restore my headphones?

Remarkable sound. Great value. I've tried multiple different pairs from other brands. I now own multiple pairs of DT 770s.

Comments about Beyerdynamic DT 770 STUDIO Headphones:

Killer headphones. Big beyer fan. Never had any problems with the regular DT 770 Pro 80 so i didn't figure I'd have one with these. They are pretty much exactly the same with a new name. Still can't go wrong with them! If you're tracking and/or mixing in a home studio, these are the absolute number one choice. Don't miss out.

These are great phones. They are 80ohms, perfect for recording on my laptop or listening on my phone. They sound better than anything in this price range.
