Comments about Apogee MiC 96k Lightning:

I record very limited vocals over electronic music in Garageband and first went old-school with a mic and effects processor. I had latency issues — then I bought this USB mic and pretty happy with the results. Nice, compact design, sounds great and pretty much plug and play. Exactly what I was looking for. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Comments about Apogee MiC 96k Lightning:

The Mic was highly recommended by a professional songwriter friend to use in home recording new song work tapes; especially in conjunction with GarageBand. The first recording of guitar and vocal recorded at the same time came out great. In fact it was good enough to send to the studio that is doing the demo for their initial use and to give the best idea of what to aim for in the demo.
Don't let the size fool you, the clarity is phenomenal. Comes with cable to connect to iPhone and iPad as well as a lightening cable for my MacBookPro. The only question I had was the lightening cable seems to be a standard USB (I have a lightening cable with my recording interface...and Apollo Twin...and that lightening cable is different than a USB. None the less it worked great. Spend the extra $$$ to get this one.
