Built sturdy

Well made great velue two for one. I wouldn't throw these around. But used in a civil manner they should last a long time.

Nice...but

Well made except for the threaded knob to adjust boom slide. Threads strip out w/ the slightest pressure rendering the adjustable boom portion useless.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Tripod Mic Stand With Boom:

I needed a couple of mic stands for a studio a friend and I are creating and these stands worked perfectly for our needs. The adjustability worked well both for vocals as well as picking up an amp. The price point was unbeatable as it was on sale for two.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Tripod Mic Stand With Boom:

I'm using these mainly in a home band rehearsal setting. I'm a little concerned about their durability - the boom adjustment seems a little flimsy. So far they have worked well and they were certainly priced right. They were about 1/2 price compared with my good pro tripod boom stands which I have been using in live and rehearsal settings for over 25 years. If Iget 10 years out of these I will be happy.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Tripod Mic Stand With Boom:

These are excellent and convenient for sitting down on the couch versus sitting at a console. I do have a heavy mic on the end of this and that does leave it prone to tip over. So for my purposes, the weight needs to be balanced on the other end so I augment this with weights that are not part of this equipment. But the price does give me a natural way to interact with the microphone.

For the money. Of course its a good deal.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Tripod Mic Stand With Boom:

They are holding my over head mic over my drums just fine. Havnt striped them out yet, so thats a good sign. I don't plan on these things leaving the studio either really. So shouldn't be much wear and tear.

Our organization was delighted to purchase these quality mic stands from Guitar Center. They are easy to assemble, easy to transport, and the price was economically GREAT! It was our first microphone stand purchase, and we are glad we chose Guitar Center for our needs.

A good product, and a good company.

      By Steven Bellamy

Comments about On-Stage Stands Tripod Mic Stand With Boom:

Are there better mic stands out there? Yes. But, for the price of these boom stands, they are well worth it. No listen, you have to treat them like any other piece of gear and take care of them, but I bring these on hundreds of gigs without issue. Occasionally and rarely, something fails but I always have a few extra on hand. To top it off, On-Stage customer service is excellent. Parts for reparing stands are easily ordered and they respond quickly. My most recent order shipped to me with a broken T-Nut for tightening the boom clutch. Within 15 minutes of opening the box, I emailed, and On-Stage agreed to ship me a replacement part for free with no questions asked. Shipped the next business day.

      Great Value!

Comments about On-Stage Stands Tripod Mic Stand With Boom:

This is my 4th pair. I had to replace one out of the six we own. They have a great reach and nice radius. In short, they get the job done nicely as long as you're not one of those lazy people who dont consistently loosen the tension knobs before adjusting.
