Well, I suppose it would be an alright stand for a keyboard that isn't full sized. But for a full size, weighted key keyboard it just isn't safe. You have to assemble it at home with mediocre tools. It's also only single braced so that it wobbles back and forth and threatens to throw off your keyboard at the slightest bump. I especially advise against not getting this product of you have pets that tend to leap on surfaces as they could seriously injure themselves by accidentally knocking the stand over.

Not in favor of this stand.

By Gayla

from Ohio

Not at all sturdy. Rocks back and forth when I play. I play on a pro level and I don't think this stand will last very long. My keyboard is only 26 lbs. I don't think this is a very well built stand.

Nice looking, but not for a heavier keyboard

By John

from Custer, WI

It does indeed hold up our almost 50lb keyboard, but it wiggles around a lot under the load to the point of being annoying when you get out by the ends of the keys. Folds up nice, and would probably work well with a lighter keyboard. The 130lb rating is very optimistic!

Very Unstable Stand

By Amanda Bergara

from Oceanside, CA

We'll be getting another keyboard stand. This one is just way too unstable. The keyboard merely sits on top of the bars and if you barely touch the stand, your keyboard will fall off. Also, it can slide off while playing the keyboard when it's on the stand if you're not careful.

trade up one level higher

By andrew shapiro

from oceanside, ny

provides very little stability. i exchanged this product for the next level up and was very satisfied. it is worth it for the relatively small extra cost.

Decent for the price

By Paul Vegors

from Seattle, Washington

It has a little bit of wobble, especially on its taller settings- I wouldn't want to use it for anything other than a sitting position because otherwise it wobbles when you play hard, which can be extremely annoying. It certainly feels like the keyboard is safe on it, but the wobble is definitely annoying. If you're looking for something that'll hold your keyboard really still, look at a double braced model- they're not much more expensive.

sometimes height is not good

By William Buckley

from LaGrange Park, IL

The stand is more than adequate for my use at home. I bought the keyboard to learn how to play and the stand holds the KB very steady. My only complaint is that it will not adjust to lower than 27".

Surprised at the quality

By Kirk Hopkins

from Okeana, OH

I thought I'd take a chance and get a cheap keyboard stand to use with a keyboard and bells. I added a couple straps to make it work for the bells (they were too small to fit at a low height). The stand is pretty heavy duty and the adjustment for the height is quick & easy. I'm happy with the purchase.

Good for at home

By Jeffro

from Boulder City, NV

Great for using at home, but if I were to hit the road I'd want something sturdier.

Nice Stand

By Jonathan Hooper

from Baton Rouge, La

I got this stand for a small yamaha keyboard i have and its worked well for me for about a year now. It is portable and easy to set up and it is pretty balanced on a flat surface.
