I've been using this stand on the road for over 5 years and never had a problem with it. The lock pins work great and give me a measure of confidence that my amp won't drop in height. It's easy to set up and the leg locks work just fine. I have 2 amps I tour with, both Rivera's. One, the Sedona DD sig 55 weighs 80 lbs. and the other, an R100W Duo12 weighs in at 88 lbs. They're both open backed and the top arms have plenty of height as do the bottom arms, which extend abour 4 inches deeper than the depth of my amp. The welds are good, the arms are nicely padded and I've never had my amp nicked or scratched on the tolex, ever, by this stand. It can be lowered and raised easily with the amp off the stand. I'm going to get a second one tomorrow as my last one disappeared at a big Dixie Festival our band just played. Heck, it's an amp stand and it does the job. Glue the feet on as they tend to wiggle off after alot of use. I use my amp as a primary monitor and have our sound guy mix the volume thru the monitors. I see guys complain about it being"right in my ears", ie "it's too loud"! Well. just turn down your gain and your volume and have them turn you up in the monitors. Problem solved, but it's not an amp stand issue, in my opinion. This is the best all around amp stand for the money I've used in the last 5 years and I use the heck out of it. Over 100-125 gigs a year. Great guitar amp stand. It's never fallen over on me once. and I've played on some rather bouncy, flexible stages. Forget the naysayers. I like the stand, or I wouldn't be buying another one! Hope this helps you.

Does the job, but where is the craftsmanship?

This thing looks like it was put together in some 3rd world country. It holds my amp, but the welding sucks, and nothing lines up. Whatever man! Save your $$$

Works Great!

By Qua-Lloyd, Bass Guitarist

from Northwest Indiana

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS7000 Tiltback Amp Stand:

I needed a stand for my 210 Cab and Bass Head rig. This fits the bill perfectly! It raises my Cab/Amp off the floor and also angles it towards my ears so I can hear myself without overpowering the others. It is so stable it allows me to set the Cab vertically to give greater height and a narrower footprint on stage. It disassembles to store fairly flat. I never gig without it.

What a Difference....

By kcbuck

from Granbury, TX

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS7000 Tiltback Amp Stand:

What a difference this stand makes.... Getting the amp up off the floor and tilted back really makes a difference than having it around your ankles and knees. Get this stand and see for yourself. This thing I like best about it is that it has multiple height adjustments. For the price and the difference it makes in the quality of sound projection you'ld be nuts if you didn't get it.... One of my better buys with guitar accessories and cheaper than most of them. BUY & ENJOY!!!!

Not for an open back amp

By merle

from Milwaukee, WI

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS7000 Tiltback Amp Stand:

I bought this for my kids Front man R65. Relative to the the other stand on this site it seemed to be what I was looking for. However, when I put the amp on it it wasn't stable at all. It rocked a lot. The back support bars on the back are not tall enough to support an open back amp. Im a little afraid that the it falls over the speaker will get damaged. I haven't decide if Im going to modify it some how or send it back

Great Amp Stand

By Bob

from Melrose, MA

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS7000 Tiltback Amp Stand:

I just bought this for my Roland KC150 keyboard amp. The stand is stable and secure particularly in the lower positions. The center of gravity moves forward as you adjust the height and I think a heavier amp would tip forward. Overall I think it is a perfect solution for small to medium amps.

Works with my Spider

By Mydian

from Chicagoland, IN.

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS7000 Tiltback Amp Stand:

I just got this today, so I can't comment on how it holds up. I wanted to get my Spider III 75 up off the floor so I could hear it better at lower volumes and so I could play with the controls more. I was a little leery on this because of my open back cab but so far it seems to be working in the normal position and I have it as low as it can go. The back arms are not long enough to reach the top of the cab, which I think is stupid. But it seems very sturdy like this. I tried it backwards and it was very unstable with my amp. My main complaint is that you can't adjust the angle. It's around 105-110 degrees, but that's just a guess. I also see I paid more money in the store than online.. that kind of sucks but with shipping I guess it would even out.

Not good enough

By Beg

from Mi

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS7000 Tiltback Amp Stand:

Well made, sturdy, but vertical support arms don't reach high enough on my open-back combo. All the stress of support is placed upon the bottom back vertical panel. Not sure if it would cause a problem or not, but I have no intention of finding out. It's going back.

Great stand

By Randy Dewar

from Warren, MI

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS7000 Tiltback Amp Stand:

This works really great with my amp. i have been playing for five years and never found anything to put my amp on and then i ran across this at guitar center and i makes gigging so much easier. i do not have to worry about finding chairs anymore for my amps. after a while though it does seem to get loose and the screws start to strip away but the pins really make up for it.
