PERFECT!!!

By DJ Resonator

Comments about On-Stage Stands Mix-400 Audio Mixer Stand:

I bought one today for my MPC1000. The Mix 400 is about 1 3/4" wider than the MPC1000, but it still fits anyway. Just to be safe and not have the MPC1000 fall between the top brackets, I cut a piece of 1/2" MDF to 14 3/4" X 12", then coated the MDF with self-adhesive black laminate. Looks very natural, blending with the color of the stand and the MPC. Everything is very secure, as well as being more comfortable wherever I sit or stand. Money well spent! :)

Fairly Unstable and Poorly Constructed

By TJ

Comments about On-Stage Stands Mix-400 Audio Mixer Stand:

I was shocked at how unstable this unit is after it has been put together. It is very inexpensive and you get less then you paid for with this unit. I do not recommend using this unit on stage. Its a bit wobbly, and tightening the screws does not help. In fact, the screws are not securely fastened to the pieces of plastic which make up the turn mechanism at the ends of the screw. This is a temporary solution only, and as such may not be worth the money. Save up your cash and purchase a solid unit. This unit is VERY unstable. Also the wheels do not stay attached when you lift it. I had to superglue them to keep them attached.

Baby Got Back?

Comments about On-Stage Stands Mix-400 Audio Mixer Stand:

Just don't try and put anything in there that is very heavy in the back.... Ahem, like a Mackie 1604! This stand definitely topples if your mixer is heavy in the back. That said, this stand feels like a Rolls Royce if you've got something in there like NI Maschine, an Akai MPD32, even my Mackie Control Universal Pro sits in there sweet. For lighter controllers, mixers, keys, or something that has a more even weight distribution, this stand works like a champ. I even customized my stand with a two tiered, rugged metal shelf system which allows me to have my laptop, Maschine, my MOTU Ultralite mkIII, USB hub, dongles, and a hard drive all set up and velcroed down.... All that precious weight! I would not trust it if it didn't feel ABSOFRIGGINLUTELY stable.... which this does. I'm tellin' you, no matter what anybody else says, trust me, I care, and this stand is a champion.... so long as your gear doesn't pack it all in the back!

Great quality-good price

By Anthony Poblacion

Comments about On-Stage Stands Mix-400 Audio Mixer Stand:

My intention was getting a stand for the NI Kontrol S2. This stand holds the unit perfectly and the adjustable options allows for literally any scenario. It's tall enough to use while standing and can shrink down if you would rather sit in a chair when using. The tilt option is great and the unit feels very solid. Adjustments take a matter of seconds with the well sized tension knobs provided. It looks great too, no cheap materials used. I also use it for my drum machine and it can take a pounding with little vibration. It would be great if the adjustable width could shrink down 2 inches more for using with an NI Maschine..which is the only drawback i see with this unit.

Solid, sturdy but not the right size

By Patrick Callan

from Kirkland WA

Comments about On-Stage Stands Mix-400 Audio Mixer Stand:

I'll start off saying that this is a very well built mixer stand at a very good price for the quality. Nice also that 2 out of 5 of the casters lock and keep the unit from rolling when you don't want it to. I did have one issue with it however. The description says that it will accomodate a mixer from 12" to 15-1/2" wide - not true. If your mixer is a ZED10FX (measured at 13-1/4" wide), it could slip between the bottom brackets that are meant to keep the unit from sliding off. Gonna have to bring it back and look for an alternate.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Mix-400 Audio Mixer Stand:

The image doesn't match what they are selling. This is a photo of the old stand, before they slimmed down the metal, punched large holes in the side panels, cheapened the hardware. The stand is made in China, and the two I bought were both welded crooked, and not welded in a way that was stable, causing a mixer to wobble like crazy. Avoid this stand at all costs.
