This thing is awesome. I really don't know what else to say. I had been looking for a sturdy guitar stand for sometime... not the cheap, I believe they're Musician's Gear "tubular" guitar stands, that always fall apart. I was also looking for something that could fit my Schecter C-1 E/A Hollowbody being that it is a little thicker than most solid body guitars. I saw this thing in my local GC... it looked nice, minimal, and sturdy. I tried a few guitars in it and I was sold. There is no need to break the bank for a Hercules guitar stand or anything like that. It fits my hollowbody no problem, my Strat, and any dreadnought acoustics with ease. It's easy to carry around and folds up nicely, and it takes up NO space on stage or at home unlike a lot of other stands. For the price, you simply can't beat it. So unless you're playing a Dean or B.C. Rich or something like that, buy this today and I promise you will be happy.

I purchased this online to hold the Epiphone Toby Deluxe-V I was trying out. It might work fine with other brands but it wouldn't hold the Toby. I took it back to the store and exchanged it for a Hercules Stands Single Guitar Stand with Folding Yoke for 4 times the price. Worth it to me not to risk having the instrument hit the floor.

Can't wait to get more !

By Deven

from Little Rock AR

This little stand is the sh%# ! It holds my dreadnaught, my 5 string Fender solid body and my Dean 5 string acoustic bass ! Plus my practice amp and my grandchildren. But my favorite Plus is it holds my 17" MacBook Pro in several positions !! Can't wait to try my motorcycle on it ! lol I can't find anything wrong with it except for maybe a bag for storage.

Pluses & Minuses of the On-Stage A-frame GS7462B guitar stand

By Maggie Abel

from Oklahoma

I prefer this A-frame instrument stand to the other types. PLUSES: - It is so stable that no protective strap is provided or needed. Easy to set your gear down. - Since is is quite short, when no instrument is sitting on the stand, the room seems emptier as if it has more space. This feature is a visual plus when videoing a session. - Very good for holding guitars that are thick at the bottom such as a dreadnought, or that are "front heavy" like a banjo with a weighty sound ring. MINUSES: - I had to return the first one because the "pad" or cushion at the apex came unglued and fell off. (But I bought the same kind again because I like it in general.) - The instrument slants back slightly so it would take up more floor space if you have a tall bass guitar. - If your other stands are upright, this stand will not stand in a pretty row with them, as the instrument neck will lean at a slight angle.

Good stand, but not the best for bass

By Becki

from San Diego, CA

I bought this to replace a lost stand and I've only been using it a couple weeks, but so far it's solid. Unlike others I've used, you just pull it open and push it closed. There are no knobs or buttons to mess with, which is nice. The only problem is that it tilts back farther than my old one so I have to position it farther from whatever is behind it to keep the neck of my bass from hitting things. It would probably work better for a guitar or amp, but if you're using it strictly for bass I would recommend getting one that holds the instrument more upright.

I love it!

By Seth

from liberty township, Ohio

I ordered two for our church. I use it to prop my guitar or bass and it works wonderfully. It is easy to open, so no button system to make it keep open. I would suggest this to others. The only open question is longevity and can it stand up to wear and tear. But for the price....it is awesome!

Solid stand

By ariemus

from Temecula, CA

A frame stands, I feel are the best for guitars that are played frequently. They hold the guitar securely, while still keeping it very accessible. Just pick it up when you want to play, no twisting, unlocking, unsecuring latches unlike that of the other stands.
