These stands work well for the first few months of having them. They can't handle the normal wear and tear of studio usage. They also, as do all tripod stands fall over easily if adding a heavy microphone to the top of the boom, so be careful. They work though.

Eh.

By Mike

from McDonough GA

Well, you get what you pay for. I used this stand to hold a mic that triggered my snare drum in my home studio. Once I adjusted it right, it literally never moved from that spot. After 4 months the bolt has given out, so I can no longer raise its height. So now it is completely useless to me.

keep the receipt

By me

from los angeles, ca

it is a good stand but just like another person posted before me it doesn't hold up with normal every day studio usage, from having to move it around the studio to adjusting the height level within 2-months of usage its broke on me... in the middle of my session!.. but hey its not a bad product, just don't touch it! :)

Great Mic Stand For Home Or Gig.

By Superfly523

from Louisa, Va

I recently bought this mic stand and it has fit in great! Many ajustments so you can have it at the right height and angle without it being in the way! I've had it for about 4 months now and its still in well working shape.

Great Stand

By GuiTaRMaN101

I bought this stand about a week ago and it holds great, nice boom arch, it also can go from really short people to really tall people. I think i really got a good deal for this microphone stand

One Word

By Rob

from Pittsburgh, PA

If I had to sum up the On-Stage tripod mic stand with one word, that word would be"JUNK". Spend a couple of extra bucks and get yourself a good stand. I purchased two of these things for a gig. One of them broke three minutes after I removed from the box and the other about three weeks later. The hardware is flimsy and cheap.

Ah, finally an affordable decent mic stand!

By jimlet

from East Bay, CA

I've gone through many mic stands over the years. Most often, they end up becoming stripping or requiring Conan the Barbarian-like strength to adjust. The On-Stage series of stands has been top-notch and held up both in the studio and, well, on stage. Mine's in constant use, and hasn't worn out. Stays in place even with heavier condenser mics. Avoid the chaep stands and spring the few extra bucks for this one--you'll be much happier in the long run, and Arnold won't need to swing by every time you need to lower the mic by a few inches.

Nice Stand at a Great Price

By Daversatek

from Baraboo,WI

How many ways can you describe a stand? Well, they are not all equal, but one manufacturer that always comes through - On Stage!. I use several of their products and have been pleased with them all. This stand has an excellent range of adjustment, and a good base that calms any worries you may have regarding it falling over (it's stable). Although it doesn't include a mic clip, I still feel it is a great buy; besides, you can buy a clip that suits your own needs/taste (clamp-on, slip syle, etc.).

Great mic stand for the price

By ramlax13

from NJ

This is a great mic stand. I use it for everything from vocals to micing guitar amps and drum overheads. The stand feels really sturdy and seems to be well built. The price can't be beat either. This mic stand is better than a lot I've used that are way overpriced.
