I love this stand. It's simple, does the job, and quite easy to setup. To the other guy who did the review saying he had trouble putting it together....Good luck with everything else. It was straight forward and as a mobile DJ, taking it apart and reassembling it quite easy and doesn't take much time either.
s soon as I opened the box, I knew something was amiss... But I pressed on and took all the pieces out of the box, spilled the washers, wing nuts, screws, foam padding, steel and velcro (?) on the table. I picked up the instructions and ... Step 1: Take Pieces in hand. Step 2: Make Stand. Step 3... ? No step 2.5 even? "Alright, Self. It's ok, You're a smart guy. Just do what you always do and figure it out! "So washer, nut... washer... pole... pole extension... ok CRAAA....! Forgot the nut... now wrong hole... what?!" I looked at the front of the box and it looked simple enough. Made a second attempt... fumbled around for 20 minutes... I was able to put the stand together. But I never want to take it apart, which is a problem since I'm a mobile DJ and am at a different bar every night. I am going to take it apart though -- it's going back in the box and back to the store. I counted 61 pieces (including all the nuts and washers). Soon I will be counting my money back into my bank account.
after researching other stands, i bought the LSTAND, and have not looked back since. Very sturdy and easily adjustable plus a clean look. A little on the heavy side, but i would rather than heavy then flimsy. Keeps the computer a just the right height. Great overall buy
I bought this stand and the Uberstand. This one is much more stable (but the Uberstand isn't bad either). The only real downside to this one is the portability. Luckily I don't take it apart often but the pieces would be very easy to lose for someone who does. I like portability very much and this box is too bulky for me to carry around all the time. Usually I just grab my Uberstand. It gets the job done. I use this one at home.
Awesome stand. Yes, there are lower cost stands, but you do get what you paid for. I have purchased them before and do not hold up. I rather spend the money for a higher quality item like these one. Also getting ready to purchase the new mobile stand from Odyssey..
