The Odyssey LT-P2 Tripod Lighting Stand is made from sturdy black aluminum and extends to 12'.
The stand is very substantial. The legs spread wide enough to carry the weight of the lights, and reaches a height tall enough to get lights up and out of your way. A plastic component did break when the stand fell over prior to being set up, so be cautious with those parts. Outside of that caution, I'd recommend this stand.

I have been using this stand for 2yrs and not only is it light and easy to set up, it's not cheesy looking. At initial set up I thought it would be top heavy but with the wide stance it balances out well. Great for the price your paying. "Recomended"

Just received this stand and, I must say Better than I expected. Very sturdy, well made, and, as with any stand of this nature do not over tighten any of the knobs. It is not necessary to do so to set the stand at the height you want. With proper care and, use I can see this stand lasting for a long time.

This stand is great! Very sturdy... it actually surprised me how sturdy it is. I chose this over others because it went up to 12' and it gives me lots of flexibility
