    Lovin it!

    By dj marvelous

Comments about Numark Virtual Vinyl DJ Hardware and Software Interface:

I've been using this software for about six months and I love it. It does more than Serato at a better price. The beatmatching is smooth and the video portion of it works great. There is no special hardware that's needed to do video djing. If you don't mind not following the crowd by using Serato, I can think of no better software to use. I get gigs because I can do Karaoke, video, and regular djing. Try that on the other software.

    Hatin it!

    By DJ Riley

    from Washington DC

Comments about Numark Virtual Vinyl DJ Hardware and Software Interface:

I bought this product a couple of years ago. Had problems with it from day 1. Followed the setup instructions and it still did not work with the timecoded vinyls. Contacted Numark customer support and they were no help at all. I managed to finally get it to work with the timecoded vinyls on my own, but had one problem after another (with the software as well as their customer support, or lack thereof) from that point. Figured I would still try using it to the extent possible since I had already flushed hundreds of dollars down the toilet (might as well get my money's worth, right?). After about a year, I finally gave up - it just wasn't worth it. It's been untouched and collecting dust ever since. Easily one of the worst purchases (if not THE worst purchase) I've ever made.

    Stay away!

    By Justin

    from Erial, NJ

Comments about Numark Virtual Vinyl DJ Hardware and Software Interface:

Stay away from Virtual Vinyl. I used it with icdx which is supposed to be completely compatible w the program and it would randomly decide to not work. It also wouldn't work with my 1200's. It would never read the time coded vinyl correctly. From searching message boards it seems to not be as compatible with Macs as it says it is. It was a complete waste of money and I ended up getting Rane SSL. Just save your money and go with SSL. I even tried to return it to GC since it wouldn't work and they wouldn't take it back bc they dont take back any software.

    Mixed imotions...

    By DJ Kingz

    from Dallas, TX

Comments about Numark Virtual Vinyl DJ Hardware and Software Interface:

I've had VDJ for about 5 years now and my experience has been very mixed. I had PCDJ and had the DAC 2 controller and when I got VDJ, it was a great upgrade and it worked great with the DAC 2. When I got ready to make another upgrade and was told that this software would work great with Pioneer CDJs, I went ahead and got a pair about a year ago. Unfortunately, I've not been able to get it to work right. I've contacted tech support and they helped some but the sound's still not right and it will not beat match as it would with the DAC 2. I'm not sure why they're not able to get it to work. It's sad because this software is soo easy to use and makes DJying the funnest easiest thing to do. Wish they could get their act together.
