Overview

The easy-to-use Stealth Wireless system from Alto Professional replaces hundreds of feet of audio cable with a reliable wireless connection. Compatible with all active loudspeakers, as well as traditional passive speaker/amplifier setups, this expandable two-channel system delivers interference-free sound.

Save Time. Save Money.
Enjoy faster setups, quicker teardowns, and eliminate complicated or unsightly cable runs, regardless of the venue. The Stealth Wireless system quickly creates a robust, invisible connection from the output of your mixer or DJ controller to the inputs of your active loudspeakers. There's no need to snake, secure, or hide any cabling during set up. After the show, simply disconnect the system and be on your way-no more tedious cable coiling at the end of the night.

Everything You Need
This complete, ready-to-use system contains a stereo (2-channel) transmitter, plus two single-channel receivers. The transmitter is equipped with XLR+1/4" combo inputs to accommodate nearly any type of mixer or other audio source. Each receiver provides a single XLR output. Two XLR cables are included. The Stealth Wireless also includes an assortment of mounting hardware, used to secure the receivers in place.

Simple Setup
First, Connect the transmitter. Plug the main outputs of your mixer or DJ controller into the Stealth Wireless transmitter, using either the XLR or 1/4" inputs.

Next, Connect the receivers. Take the XLR output on the Stealth Wireless Receiver and connect it to the input of your active loudspeaker, or to the input of your amplifier/speaker combination. Repeat this step for the second receiver.

Turn the transmitter on first, and then the receivers. It's that easy. Select any one of the 16 reliable UHF channels to minimize interference. The squelch control can be manually set to one of three levels for optimal performance. As your needs change, you can add more receivers to your system with the Stealth Wireless Expansion Pack.

Consumer Alert:

Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. For more information, call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (TTY: 1-888-TELL-FCC) or visit the FCCs wireless microphone website at: www.fcc.gov/cgb/wirelessmicrophones.

Comments about Alto Stealth Wireless - Stereo Wireless System for Active Loudspeakers:

As a DJ I read all the reviews on the Alto Stealth and they were all either awful or great and completely 50/50. The bad reviews equaled the good ones but I thought I'd at least try it out. There is really nothing else out there on the market that is specifically designed for this but I'm sure other companies will in the near future or at least they should! This concept is a huge lifesaver and solves so many problems like carrying around 100's of feet of heavy cords, worrying about not having enough length or tripping issues, and having unsightly cords running everywhere from your base! After buying this I immediately tested it out at home and had a speaker about 30 feet away behind a half wall and another speaker upstairs and both worked well without interference after 30 minutes of testing. I then used it at a wedding and it seemed to work great every time I went and tested it since I used it in a space that was 100 feet from me and not in the same space. I didn't notice any problems and nobody said anything about it cutting in and out so I was stoked about that. Then I did a Bridal Show and had both speakers within 5 feet of the transmitter and the one would cut out every now and then (no loud disturbing noises...it would just cut out for a split second). Now I didn't have the velcro set up on my speakers so I just put the receivers on the top of the speakers and the transmitter was under the DJ table for a cleaner look so that may have had something to do with it. I will normally put the transmitter up high and have a direct line of sight to the receivers but wasn't able to do that at the show so the reliability is still up in the air...overall though, if these things work even remotely well it's well worth the price and convenience to have!

Comments about Alto Stealth Wireless - Stereo Wireless System for Active Loudspeakers:

bought this wireless system and set it up in the office while no one was here so I could crank it to hear drops etc. when I first set it up, I set the speakers 10 feet away in the same room, and noticed the same thing others have noted... Walk between the transmitter and speakers and you notice the interference. It was subtle though -- like the volume would drop and them come back.

Next I put the speakers on opposite sides of the bldg one was 35-40 feet away with at least 3 walls and a few computers on desks between the other was about 15 feet in the opposite direction and only one wall. In this configuration I was not ever able to get any dips or interruptions. I shielded the transmitter with my body, as well as shielded the receivers at the speakers. No drops or pops. I will need to try this with more people to see if I can induce interference.

One word of warning... powering off the base station caused full spectrum static/pink noise to flood the speakers. If that happened at an event, it would be embarrassing and annoying for everyone. Power off the remotes first.

All in all, I think this product will serve a purpose when a cable run to the speakers is impractical, and a few other situations, but in a scenario where your job or reputation is on the line, I would not rely on this product for flawless wireless performance.

Comments about Alto Stealth Wireless - Stereo Wireless System for Active Loudspeakers:

I think this company should make one of the transmitters battery operated said that if you have a battery powered speaker you can have a sound system completely wireless. The transmitters and receivers both have power supplies that must be plugged in in order to use.

      Works great!

      By Brett

      from Ridott, IL

Comments about Alto Stealth Wireless - Stereo Wireless System for Active Loudspeakers:

I am a mobile DJ, and I was a bit skeptical of how these would work with distance and walls. I received the stealth a couple of weeks ago, and I have been impressed. No quality of sound loss, and so far it has no trouble going through 3 walls and a distance of 50ft at the same time. It's very easy to setup, and comes with everything I needed to use it right away. It goes to a gig next weekend, and I am super pumped to see how much time it can save me on setup and tear down.

      Dependable?

      By RAY WOYAK

Comments about Alto Stealth Wireless - Stereo Wireless System for Active Loudspeakers:

I was quite excited about this product and spoke very highly of it. I heard other users which had purchased the system when it first was released were also impressed. So we got a system. The day it came in, setup and tested for Range and was surprized. I too encountered the human eliment, when someone walked between the Trans & Receiver site line the Audio would be interupted. At another loaction the Transmitter was positioned high on a balcony with the receivers velcro'd high on the speakers and it worked properly during the rehearsals but during the scheduled event the Audio started dropping out to one of the receivers. That same day in the afternoon we changed to a different CH and the other receiver started dropping out. We are going to try other CHs' & see if the problem continues or goes away.

Stealth Wireless Speaker Works for My Gigs

      By Julian Oteyza

      from Arlington, VA

Comments about Alto Stealth Wireless - Stereo Wireless System for Active Loudspeakers:

I find the wireless system very useful and practical. It cuts down my set up time and enables me to spread my sound around the room without blasting the audience when I have to turn up my stage speakers just so the people in the back can hear. Running long cables to my rear speakers would be a pain because I have to go over doorways or would have to tape speaker cords down every few feet so people don't trip. I recommend this product and am getting the extender kit to add more speakers around the room.

      Static

      By jordan lima

      from Anaheim,CA

Comments about Alto Stealth Wireless - Stereo Wireless System for Active Loudspeakers:

I had hoped this product would have mobile implications since I am a mobile DJ and wanted to use this product to drastically cut down set up time. This product may yet be useful in more permanent controlled situations such as Auditoriums or Gyms but if you can't control the conditions it will embarrass you. Bought the product on Friday and tested it in my garage just to get the feel for it. I knew I would have field test to really gage the range so the next day I showed up extra early to my event(a Wedding) with the product in tow. I set it up and enjoyed the quality of the audio while it was working. However, if someone was to walk by the transmitter or just stand for a moment between it and the receiver my speakers would let out loud static or pop sounds. It basically sends a high quality unreliable signal. I was in denial for a bit because I really wanted it to work but as I ran though scenarios in my head of a guest bumping it or just generally dancing by it and it letting out a loud blaring static noise and how badly that would represent me and the company I work for, I reluctantly decided to go with wires instead. I would actually be fine if it cut to silence instead of static much like a wireless microphone does when out of range. But the static just draws attention to the fact that there has been signal loss and is impossible to hide.
