Although I find this unit to be very good for the price point, here are the issues a user can have after time.. which are correctable-- one I would not arrive at a gig with this unit alone unless you have a mixer to plug into to left the output--if you peak on this unit via the Limiter can shut down-- you get warned--so with a mixer can fix that...also after time of repeatingly hitting the play buttons the plastic springs can break--playable but not bounce--- the plastic strip can be purchased for around 12.00 and not that hard to take apart to fix-- have to reposition pieces upsidedown but you can figure it out... and this break takes time to happen unless you are really beating on it. So overall I would say if you are looking for a backup unit, or even one to use seriously if you are not in need of complete effects and you do mostly a straight on mix--this is one of the best--still has loop, and other effects--just not as good as highPriced units but doable-- never had a problem with the wheels--like I did with the Vestex 300.
i liked it, it is a good tool for starters and can extend for pros too.
I have been deejaying for 20 years and have used all types of equipment. When I DJ out I use Serato Scratch Live with Technic 1200 turntables. I needed something smaller to practice anywhere in my home and I bought the Numark Mixtrack Pro 2 for this function. Little did I know that I would be paying so little for such a powerful piece of hardware. This controller used in combination with Serato DJ is incredible. The functionality is way beyond the price point. The jog wheels for scratching are accurate (as long as you know what you're doing). The pads feel tight and reliable and the hardware buttons feel great. I bought this just to practice mixes at home but I would not hesitate to use it for a gig. It does only have RCA outputs for your sound so this isn't something that you can bring to a club without adapters. And the best part is that if you upgrade to Serato DJ you can even record with this thing. Amazing machine for only $250.
A good controller for beginner DJs. Its a little costly but is work the price. Other controllers don't compare.
I use this in Traktor pro 2. It works really well however, since this is such a new product you have to map the whole thing yourself which takes a lot of time. If you are just starting out like I am, then this is a great deck to get started with.
