The Numark MixDeck gives DJs a complete mixing console with the ability to blend different kinds of music sources. No matter if your music is on CDs, MP3 CDs, USB flash drives, an iPod, your computer, or even other analog players, you can mix and perform it all using the Numark MixDeck. This performance station has the traditional two-decks-and-a-mixer layout you're used to, but that's where time-honored DJ tradition meets Numark innovation.
The Numark MixDeck has two large, touch-sensitive, illuminated platters plus controls for cueing and scratching your music. Each smooth, fast, reliable, slot-loading drive works with both CDs and MP3 CDs. You can also connect a USB flash drive on each deck for access to thousands of MP3s without taking a computer or your CDs to the gig.
These advanced decks aren't just MP3/CD players though”they also work as software controllers. Just connect this Numark mixer to your Mac or PC with a single USB cable and you can seamlessly control the music on your computer. The Numark MixDeck's MIDI communication enables you to easily map virtually any DJ software for direct connection from your fingers to the software.
The Numark MixDeck's USB connection can also receive two stereo audio channels from your computer, empowering you to mix software audio with CD tracks. MixDeck also has an integrated Universal Dock for an iPod so you can play tracks from your iPod and even record your set into the popular portable music device. The Numark MixDeck has a dedicated iPod fader, physical transport and menu controls, and a click knob so you won't have to touch the iPod once it's docked. (All iPod docking models are compatible with the MixDeck.)
Mighty DJ Mixer:
The Numark MixDeck has a full-featured mixer already built-in. Each input channel has its own gain and three-band EQ/rotary kills (+12dB/ -INF). The mixer channels control the audio from the MixDeck's onboard players, incoming audio from your computer, or external sources such as turntables, MP3 players, and more. The Numark mixer has two sets of stereo, switchable phono/line inputs for external sources. Its replaceable crossfader has switchable slope and reverse so you can customize its performance based on your preferences.
Work the room thanks to MixDeck's 1/4" mic input with its own gain and ±15dB high and low EQ. There's also a complete cueing section with dual 1/8" and 1/4" headphone outputs, dedicated cue gain, and mini-crossfader control. You can keep an eye on your master output levels with MixDeck's dual-color stereo LED meters.
The Numark MixDeck has a flexible output section too, with balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA stereo Main outputs, as well as Booth and Record outs for sending your mix to different locations and systems, including recording to your iPod. There's also a direct stereo output from each deck for use with timecode control interfaces including Serato Scratch LIVE software or external effects processors.
The DJ mixer's advanced platters are touch-sensitive for superb accuracy and smooth control of tracks on discs, flash drives, and software. The platters' outer rings illuminate for visual indication of deck performance and mode. You can adjust the Numark MixDeck's players to perform just like vinyl on turntables thanks to their independent start and stop-time controls on each deck.
On top of playing all kinds of music media, each one of the MixDeck's decks enables you to add flavor to your performances with integrated, beat-synced DSP (digital signal processor) effects that include chop, echo, filter, flanger, pan, and phaser. Each is completely adjustable, and a dedicated wet-dry fader controls them all.
The MixDeck contains a set of beat and pitch tools that will help you with beat matching and harmonic mixing. Start playing a track and the MixDeck automatically analyzes its BPM (tempo of beats per minute), and displays it on-screen. There's also a Tap tempo button for manual BPM entry. You can alter the track's BPM by ±6, 12, 25, and 100% using the pitch fader. For each of those ranges, you can also engage Key Lock, which holds the pitch (key) of the track while you independently manipulate its BPM. There's also a set of pitch-bend buttons on each track for quick tweaks.
The MixDeck gives you a complete range of remixing tools for on-the-fly creativity, including seamless looping on a set of easy-to-understand controls, sampling, and easily accessible hot cues. Numark's familiar Bleep/Reverse gives you the ability to keep time moving forward while you cut or reverse the track.
You can play tracks from discs in single-track, continuous, and programmable playback modes for flexible performance. For effortless transitions, the Fader Start enables the MixDeck to start playing the track you have cued up when you move the crossfader. You can also use Fader Start with compatible CD players connected to the MixDeck's inputs.
The MixDeck features two large, backlit displays for keeping tabs on each deck even in poorly lit conditions. You can monitor BPM, CD, and MP3 text tags; navigate folders; and keep an eye on effect status on its big, bright screens.
Overall, the Numark MixDeck gives you the ability to perform, mix, remix, and record with virtually any popular music media. Whether you play parties, clubs, events, or in a group, the MixDeck gives you the freedom to DJ all in one unit, with the flexibility to add on and expand as you like.

I purchased the Mixdeck and all I can say is WOW! If your the kind of person that wants to just show up hook up your system and music source this is the way to go. The fact that it has USB on top of both deck makes it easy if you have a Memory stick. Just plug it in and find your song with the easy knob. Ability to play cds is great. On each deck you have 6 effects, scratch, search, looping, hot cue points for easy straight to where you want points. With Traktor LE using your music library on your computer. The only down point is not being able to control the ipod when it is plug in. only have volume control. I have yet to figure out how to record to ipod. HIGHLY recommend this product!!! GREAT JOB NUMARK
The MIXDECK is the answer to "multiple systems" in one. The 3-in-1 systems gives you the virtual DJ, mass storage drive and CD options and versitility all in one with a few clicks and flicks. It is lightweight (the case weighs more than the unit) and compact, which is a plus for mobile gigs. I had a few problems with the Traktor software freezing when toggling between MIDI and CD, which I hope have been resolved with the firmware update. Overall, it's the best all in one that I have seen. Side note: Pioneer CDJ-400 is my official vote for "components" with the same features, of course with Pioneer quality.
This is one cool machine. Great for the mobile jock. All the bells and whistles for a mobile gig. Very compact and best of all lightweight. All the effects are as advertised. There is allways room for improvement as with the ipod not being able to pitch. But that is a minor issue with me. Definately a best bang for the buck product for the mobile industry.
Well This is my second review of this product. After going through this unit 100 percent of the way, I have found a few flaws wich I made 2 companies aware of including Numark. The cd players on this unit are having problems traking songs accuratley and sometimes wont track cdr songs at all. Mp3 Id tags are also incorrect. There is a firmware and possible other issue with this matter that numark is now aware of and should have this matter fixed soon. I am not the only one with this complaint. I sent my unit back to Numark! I hope it they fix this matter soon as I do like this products concept.
I just got these tables, used them the first day i got them, and i had a blast. i was able to hook my serato up to them and actually was able to get my control box to work for the first time in a year. the security in the club i dj'd even loved how they made the sound system in the club sound way better than their own equipment. i have to get uze to the sensitivity of the decks though, they are really sensitive, so if you get the urge to scratch, do not hesitate or second guess yourself. the decks react to the slightest touch. But, these tables are worth the money. also, i love how i dont have to unplug anything to switch from the serato to just using the cd decks to play artist show cds, just a flip of a switch.
i recently just purchase this unit, and i must say i am very happy with this.you have so much stuff with this unit it is unbeliveable i highly suggest to any dj who wants to up there game this is the way to go.Numark a job well done with this unit i love it
I shopped around for a good minute before I decided on the Numark Mixdeck as there are many choices when considering good CDJ's. The bottom line for me was finding something in my budget that didn't leave me feeling as if I'd sacrificed quality and product features. I own several other Numark products so I completely trust the brand and highly recommend The Mixdeck simply because of the features and versatility it offers for the money.
this is hands down the best station i have ever mixed from behind..i have spent over 25000 on dj gear and i think this is by far one of my favorite peices. great for beginers also just buy it. you will not regret it at all. just buy it. what are you waiting for. buy it already. still reading this? BUYBUYBUY. greatest peice of equippment ever. hands down. buy it.
they really nailed their niche market with this one. the all-in-one benefit sold me the first day i heard about it, and i immediately bought from gc the next day. i was skeptical about the build quality at first, but after a whole month of use, this thing is solid. so far, no problems, great performance, on par with my cdj 800's. 5/5, great job numark!
