The dual CD players operate as standalone professional dual CD players and feature versatile CD, MP3 CD, and CDRW compatibility. 2 jumbo displays allow easy navigation for creation of playlists so you can quickly create playlists of entire sets. A keyboard connection makes it easy to find songs fast, and songs and playlists can be searched by song, artist, album, playlist, or genre.
The HDC1 also offers all the professional DJ functionality you would expect, including pitch, instant start, relay start, and seamless looping.
Play modes include single, continuous, random, repeat single, and repeat continuous.
Includes software for interfacing with your computer that allows upload and backup of music files, song and playlist data editing, and exporting song lists as text. Song information is instantly available through the internal Gracenote database, which you can update online.

Comments about Numark HDCD1 Dual CD Player with 40GB Hard Drive:
I have been using Newmark for a while now. WHen I heard they were coming out with the HCD1 I was first in line to buy it. WHat happened Newmark? First let's talk about the tiny hard drive. 40 gigs? Are you kidding? And not to mention, if you mix, there is no master tempo. WHat's the point? Sure you can carry 40 gigs of your favorite music which is less than an ipod, but then you can't even mix it without affecting the tempo, and there are NO effects! Big disapointment. I returned it in 1 day. This is way below expectations.
