it?s a good beginner model. PROS- easy to set up, usb powered so there is no need for a power supply, sort of intuitive interface, nice large platters and backlit buttons, GREAT price considering all the features. CONS- i wish they would include full version of traktor (mine came with traktor LE), wish there were more detailed instructions cause im a beginner to DJ-ing. also wish it came with a sound card built in, I?m completely new but I picked it up at my local gc, took it home, and was scratching in a couple hours. haven?t spent enough time to fully learn all its features though

I got the Mixtrack,and it came with Traktor Le.When you register your copy of "Traktor Le"@ Native Instruments.com. You will be able to Purchase Traktor pro 2 for 139.00 dollars.You have different shipping choices, but you can pay a fee and have it quicker than 7 days. Or you can do the download version. You can download Traktor 2 demo for 30 minutes.Amazing!!!! Thats all I have to say. Because The Audio 2 dj soundcard from N.I. is the best soundcard for this mixer!!! I was going to get the Numark IQ, and the guy at G.Center told me that I would be better off with the Audio 2 Dj card. If your looking for a SOUNDCARD,get the best.Traktor Le and Audio 2 dj work perfect together.It is easy to Configure.And the Audio 2 Dj has POWER!!!
I've been a Dj for over 13yrs. I started on the Tech 1200's, moved to CD's, and now have been using Traktor Pro for about 3 yrs. The MixTrack works well with it. You will need a pretty fast computer. It connects by USB, and uses alot of the CPU. You will need to adjust the Latency. The wheels are sensative when in scratch mode. So if you like to scratch a lot, it may work for you. Easy to pitch control your tracks. Very lightweight. I do recommend a flight case for it though. I don't see this unit lasting long if you are a mobile dj.
