The DXM-06
The DXM-06 is the best mixer I have ever used in my entire career as a beginner DJ. I've had this product for about a month. I have been very impressed with the quality of the sound effects and the overall structure of the mixer itself.
The mixers features twelve digital sound FX six for the aux output and six for the microphone. The FX are 2X copy/vocorder, tape echo echo,flanger/reverb one, phaser/reverb two, and filter. The cross fader glides so smooth that you barely have to move it at all. The mixer also features cross fader reverse, cross fader slope, and a bass, mid, and treble kill switch for each channel. The headphones have three modes master, FX, and channel 1-2. The head phones have a mini cueing system and a cue volume. It is a great deal and sure to inspire the aspiring.

The Little Mixer that Could
Only had the Mixer for 5 months and the fader lever is not sliding over all the way on the Channel 1 side completely. So when you are trying to cue Channel 2 sometimes you can hear the music. I have to go through the process of sending it off to Numark so they can repair the problem. No big deal but it is when you have to buy a replacement mixer because you functions you have to DJ for. 5 months in my possession and equiptment needs repair, that is not kool.
Now on the good end for Entered Apprentice DJs it is nice to have.

Best Mixer for Beginners - PERIOD!
I have been DJing live at college and high schools now for over a year. I bought this mixer because of the capabilities that I could add effects to my mix. I must say that there is no other mixer like it!
The faders have not bled in the one plus years I have used it. You can hamaster style your crossfader, change the curve of the crossfader. You have your three kills for each channel. A mic switch. Three different ways to cue and listen in your headphones. You can look ahead at audio levels of songs you are cueing to make sure they are same level. Numark has built a quality mixer that has too my DJ mixing to the next level that I wanted to go to! And I haven't even gotten into the fact that sound is digital and clear - NO WHITE NOISE. I run it with Serato Scratch Live and my sound is crystal clear.
The only con to this mixer is the crossfader is really slick, in the sense, scratching is a little hard due to the fact the crossfader has very little friction for it. So for those that are strictltly battle DJs, I suggest a different mixer as this will be frustrating. A silk crossfader will often lead to inprecise cuts.

not a DJM, but....
great little mixer...played with it for a few hours, set on aside to pick up later...this is a digital mixer and the sound was incredible...I'm replacing my vestax mixer with it...the only way to get a better mixer is by buying a Pioneer DJM or something Allen & Heath...for a 2 channel mixer, you can't beat the options and sound quality!!!!!!!!!!!
