The Numark CD Mix-1 Dual CD Player/Mixer gives you a pair of players and everything you need to keep grooves endlessly rolling. The players feature front-load transports with 30-second auto door close, track programming, 16% pitch/jog wheel, 12% pitch control, BPM counter, large backlit display, and true continuous play. The mixer offers one mic and 2 phone/line inputs for additional external devices, balanced output, master EQ, and stereo/mono control. Mix-1 Does the job.

When I seperated from my DJ company and went on my own I did not want to get anything too expensive or over the top. The mix-1 is the perfect console for basic DJing. If you are not looking to break the bank this is the way to go. Also, it would be a great back up system. It's very easy to use and would be great for any beginner!

Great for the beginning DJ

I bought my Numark about three years ago to get me through my first couple years of DJ'ing. It is a great bargain for those who need the complete package at an affordable price. It does all basic operations that a DJ requires and it is simple and straight foward. You can even run your MP3 player through it! A few months ago one of the CD drives stopped working and it won't read CD's, but I just use an MP3 player through that channel now so it's okay.

Great for the beginner DJ

This numark cd mixer is perfect for anyone starting to DJ. It is not only incredibly affordable but also very easy to use. The dual CD players make it easy to keep up with your playlist and cueing is very easy. The fader is great and seems to be replaceable, so you can swap out for your favorite fader. The line in's on this are great for ipod's or turntables. One problem I had have ever had with this is that the built in microphone feature never seemed to work well, I always got a lot of feedback. The second problem is that my one cd player seems to be tempermental with recognizing CD's. This cd player made it through a flood in which it was sitting in about three inches of water. I let it dry for a few hours and it still worked the same as it did before.

For a starter DJ, this is a MUST!

I first started out as a DJ about 2 1/2 years ago, and I was told to buy this unit. Imust say, it was worth every penny. The features on this unit are very nice, and at that price, it is worth the buy. If you are more tech-advanced, I'd probably get the CD-Mix that can play .mp3s, but if you are just starting out, this should be your first CD player purchase. In fact, I still use this for my shows. Never failed me.

I had bought this system about a year ago and i had to replace the cd player twice and a button. other than that it plays fine for a beginer, or good for using it in a band. i wouldnt use it for djing. the quality isnt that good at all.
