An incredibly lightweight clonewheel that still delivers the heavy organ sound.

The Nord C1 Combo Organ is a truly portable professional dual manual electric organ. Somebody once said "less is more" - in this case, it only applies to the weight. At just 33 pounds, the C1 is one of the most player-friendly clonewheels in the world.

Some distinct organ sounds have remained popular during recent decades of pop and rock & roll music soulful sounds that breathe and growl that can only be found in heavy, bulky vintage instruments. Apart from sourcing, restoring, and maintaining these vintage organs, their size and weight make them less than ideal for the gigging musician especially when adding their amplifiers, stands, and other necessary gear. Even recent clonewheels come in different parts, and can weigh as much as 95 pounds. With the C1 organ, this is no longer a problem.

Nothing quite sounds like a tonewheel or transistor organ. Each instrument's sound was the result of complex interactions between different electromechanical components. Sample-based organs can only play back the result of these interactions, but cannot duplicate the processes involved. Without these crucial steps represented, the response and feel of actually playing the source instrument is lost.

Thus Clavia uses advanced modeling technology to achieve these interactions virtually in a real-time, duplicating these interactions. This gives the Nord C1 an accurate feel and sound, unmatched in any other digital organ available.

Nord C1 Review

I am impressed with the C1's B-3, Farfisa, and Vox Continental sound. The light-weight organ makes it very easy carting gig to gig. The lighted drawbars was a change, but it was easy to figure out. This organ is one for all time - the combination of the three organs in one is worth it's weight in gold, along with it's light weight. I'd recommend anyone to test this product in your local music store. Also, the fire red color usually gets compliments from audiences, as well as the dead-on Hammond and Vox sound! I Highly recommend this product to anyone who needs incredible and authentic organ in their music.
