Years of R&D have gone into perfecting alloy type, shell dimensions, hardware and lug design, bearing edge angles, and snare bed particulars. In short, this is a snare designed to blow your mind! Built of cast aluminum with a black powdercoat, it will do anything you ask it to, from feather strokes with brushes to aggressively slapped backbeats, and do it beautifully. According to Nigel Lord, "A snare for the recording studio if ever there was one."
When I bought this Snare I owned 26 other snare drums. It blows most all the others away. I use it for just about everything Live, Recording It always sounds good. If you only can have one snare. THIS IS IT!!
Gorgeous. I can get this 4 3/4 to do ANYTHING i want it to do. You're only going to be unimpressed if you don't know how to tune a drum. With the right heads & right snares it sounds like butter. I currently use Ambassador coated top & clear bottoms w/Puresound Twister snares for an extra dry sound & it's working out very well for me. I have a thousand different voices!!!! Buy anything Noble & Cooley w/confidence.
