The popular Neary Drum Torque drum-tuning tool works like a standard mechanic's torque wrench. By measuring the twisting force applied to each drum tuning lug the Drum Torque greatly simplifies the drum-tuning process, making it easy to set all the lugs to equal tension. The Torque's meter measures between 2 and 25 pound-feet.

The Drum Torque is made of high-impact black plastic and contains a precision-calibrated heavy-duty spring to ensure accurate adjustments. This T-shaped tool fits on your drum's tuning lugs. Simply grip the outer edge of the dial and place the chuck over the drum lug and turn clockwise.

Neary ships the Drum Torque with a 2-pronged adapter that fits over drum keys for tight lug-hoop clearances.

    These things have been around forever! I bought one about 20 years ago and it's all I used to tune with. It actually helped me develop my ear for the sound that I wanted because it was always "taking me there"... as well as the feel for the right tension of the lug. I've been out of the "scene" for a long time due to ear damage but now that I'm getting back in I'll be buying another one.

    Seems pricey, but I Guarantee that its worth every penny. Precisely tunes each tension rod to perfect match. It takes only minutes to tune your kit. So much quicker than the "tension watch" and torque keys. Its great for retuning right before a gig because its so fast and accurate. I've had two. (my first was stolen) I'd buy another if anything ever happens to the one I have now. This is a great product.
