Native Instruments TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO is built on the same hardware components as its predecessor, TRAKTOR SCRATCH, and is professional in every area. The TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO DJ system is built to last and made 100% for the club, providing rock-solid and reliable components, from the Audio 8 DJ Interface to the supplied control media and cables.
TRAKTOR PRO allows you to mix digital files on four decks, using the high-quality internal mixer or external hardware, and an incredible effects suite. It elevates your mix by integrating industry-standard workflows into a redesigned user interface, along with automatic beat-grinding of tracks, advanced beat detection, sync lock, and more. Among its other features are 21 professional effects, auto loop, a full-featured 4-channel mixer that emulates the Xone: 92, realtime track management, and supports multiple MIDI controllers and assignments.
Audio 8 DJ Interface
The beating heart of TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO, this interface has incredible connectivity, super high-end audio quality, convenient status LEDs, and a rock solid, compact design. It has 8 high-gain outputs (4 x stereo) for mixing up to 4 decks via an external DJ mixer, or for routing signals to outboard effects. It also has 8 inputs for hooking up 2 turntables, 2 DJ CD players, or 2 turntable/CD decks, plus outboard gear and/or a microphone. It has MIDI In/Out, and a USB socket to connect to your Mac or PC for even more options. The Audio 8 DJ Interface uses Cirrus Logic AD/DA converters with 24-bit/96kHz resolution for high-quality sound; has ultra-low latency drivers; a high-gain headphone output with volume controller and source selector; and 20 status LEDs on top to provide full visual control.
TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO closes the gap between digital and analog DJing. The control signal is formatted onto special CDs and vinyl, and feels like the digital file is cut into the wax. The media has a 2kHz carrier frequency, which offers twice as much tracking information as competing digital DJ systems with vinyl control. The special CDs have improved high-speed spinning capabilities, plus very slow speeds can be tracked with incredible smoothness, while decoding is much more reliable due to the greater signal headroom available. The 120g vinyl is mastered at Berlin's renowned studio 'Dubplates and Mastering', and is ideal for scratching. They also offer a unique scroll feature to select your next tune using only the turntable.
No longer will you lose precious time sorting and hooking up cables. The newly developed, patent-pending "One click per deck" Multicore Cables ensure quick and easy connection between mixer, decks, and your AUDIO 8 DJ interface. These high-quality cables and components have XLR jacks to connect each deck's I/O instantly, while providing lossless transmission and hassle-free setup â including integrated direct connection from turntables to mixer (independent from connected audio interface). The cable's 4' (120cm) length lets you place the audio interface anywhere in the booth. They are also hot-pluggable, ensuring your digital track continues playing. When pre-installed, TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO connects with 2 clicks to mixer and turntables.
It comes with the full version of the enhanced TRAKTOR PRO software, which adds a whole new dimension to professional DJing, combining an incredible feature set with the reliability and stability that professional DJs require.
It's a premium system for DJs spinning digital tracks on vinyl and CD.

I shopped around on a lot of reviews first before buying Traktor Scratch Pro and from what I found, it was going to be a pretty solid product. I've been running it with the control vinyl on turntables and i'm very impressed. My biggest concern involved my 3 year old Compaq laptop being able to do all the audio manipulation without lag but it's working without any noticeable delay. Also the Traktor program is very straight forward and I've been able to figure out most of the controls without having to read any manuals. In summary, I'm very impressed with the opportunities that a program like Traktor Scratch Pro offers and it's nice to have hardware and software that is as intuitive and easy to use right out of the box as this.
I've worked with all of the traktor Scratch version and the improvements keep expanding the "Realm of Creativity". And most importantly ur not stuck with any manditory hardware interfaces like serato. This allows you to reduce ur setup time if thereb is already hardware in place! The only thing I would like improve is the library backup and itunes playlist load speed.
I learned to dj, beat match and mix all on VDJ with time code vinyls. However I felt that I needed something more. It took me a while to make the decision to switch to Traktor Scratch Pro being that I already had a perfectly good setup along with a Stanton Final Scratch Interface. Well after doing my research on the internet. I found this system for a lot cheaper than advertised here on GuitarCenter.com Before I submitted my order I called my local GC to see if they were willing to match the price. Well not only did they match it, they beat it by an additional 10% I am completely blown away by this setup. All I could say is WOW! I would 110% buy this setup again.
Definitly something to look into if you are either a mobile dj or just trying to minimize crate to car problems. Traktor Scratch pro not only has stepped the Digital Vinyl timecode percpective up, but also provided a well structured Audio DJ 8 interface for not only connecting your tables, but two extra tables, a midi controller, dynamic mic, and 2 line inputs. Also the casing is durable and doesn't feel light and flimsy. This is a perfect package for anyone getting into DJing, mixing, or even making their own beats off of juggle samples. Plus with all the features there is nothing impossible. Native Instruments is now official like a referee wistle.
THEE best DVS software on the market PERIOD! SSL doesn't even come close. 4 decks, full midi support, lots of layerable effects, best audio quality, most sophisticated audio interface, highest resolution timecode, highly customizable layout, ability to use certified mixers, all around top notch product... The only gripe i have is with the beat grids and BPM detection. Unless you play strictly 4 to the floor beats, this thing will always disappoint. I would definitely like some vertical waveforms too, but that's not a problem.
I have been using traktor scratch since final scratch 1.5. I did not like the original version of final scratch then I went back to hardware straight using CDJ1000. I tried serato first and I had some problems of sound quality so I sold it out. When traktor scrach came out I upgraded from final scratch to traktor scratch. I was little bit nervous and confused at first and I decided to buy Traktor scratch. I mainly use Native Instruments products for my productions. I own Komplete and Kore. I made the right decision choosing of Traktor. Great software and awesome user friendly interface also wave form. Most I like the track wave form. Kind of similar look like wave from in CDJ1000 mk3. Now I can mix 4 desks with effects like rocking all night. Traktor beat grids are blow me away. Anyone who use Ableton when you see traktor beat grids you will be drooling. Breezee.
