If you've been holding off on buying the Maschine either for price, or because the controller was too big... then Maschine Mikro is perfect for you, as it was for me!
I was able to set everything up in minutes and start producing tracks right away! Because the Mikro controller is almost half the size of the original Maschine, some of the controller functionality needs to be learned. The online tutorials provided by Native Instruments make this very easy too. The Maschine Mikro controller can do everything that the original Maschine controller can do. Everything.
It has a quality build to it, not flimsy like a lot of other drum machine type controllers. The pads are incredible and highly responsive, all while being pleasing to the eye as well. It will definitely give your studio a nice pop!
I bought mine a couple weeks after it was released, and it's worked flawlessly on both my studio PC, and my portable studio laptop, also PC.
If you're just getting into drum machine type production, or if you're an MPC veteran, you'll easily feel right at home on the Maschine. I can't put mine down!!
I have used midi keyboards and various programs but nothing compares to the easiness of maschine and the programs that it comes with. If you have the slightest clue on what to do with VST programs and such, this will help you go from beginner to expert in no time!
