    This product runs in demo mode after installation and must be activated before full functionality is available.

KOMPLETE 8 ULTIMATE includes the GUITAR RIG 5 PRO software but not the RIG KONTROL hardware controller. The RIG KONTROL is available separately in the NI Online Shop.

  • My Reasons for/against KOMPLETE 8 ULTIMATE

    First I must say, GUITAR CENTER delivered the product on time and undamaged. No complaints there..... Now, for Native Instruments....... 1. The Product is a must have to complete any modern music project, and getting all the updates and products not included. Yes, you still do not get everything. This package is not up to date. Their limited call in hours are short, so be wise to this. 2. Customer Service by phone and Email are responsive and helpful, sorry, tying to keep this short. 3. Tech Support needs a lesson or two. I say this because I have lost 40% of my eyesight, I'm a disabled veteran. I have problems reading some things, and I may ask stupid questions, that said, having them just hang up the phone on you is not helpful. The attitude of them is not that much better, sounding unwilling to help. E-mails are not always returned in the promised 48 hours, so you may have to wait for that kind of answer. 4. They boast having great web servers and plenty of bandwidth to download updates and new additions. I beg to differ in this matter, you better make sure you have a download manager to continue download that fails, because they do. I use GETRIGHT. Overall, I hope they get it together, like WAVES finally did. It is a great product overall!!! ( YES, I have WAVES products since 2007, the Mercury Package.)

  • One word: Wow!

    I purchased the Native Instruments Komplete 8 Ultimate suite a week and a half ago, and I've only scratched the surface of what this suite of software delivers. I use Komplete 8 Ultimate with Logic 9.x and an Apogee Ensemble, connected to a 2.93 GHz. i7 iMac, with 16GB of memory. The ensemble is connected to a set of 5.1 Jaton Bi-Polar 6.5", and Bi-Polar 5.5" speakers, which are connected to a Harman-Kardon 150W (RMS per channel) amplifier, and some Alesis 6.5 studio monitors, which are connected to a Denon 150W (RMS per channel) amplifier... needless to say, I'm able to reproduce sound in the original recording quality. The Native Instruments Komplete Ultimate sounds and effects are nothing less than impressive... Truly a welcomed addition to my home studio. I typically record in 24-bit/192KHz, and the software synths won't disappoint or sound out of place, even with acoustic instruments. The user interface is intuitive and unobtrusive, allowing users to quickly access the tools, settings, and parameters right out of the box, without having to RTFM. Komplete 8 Ultimate can be summed up in one word: WOW! It's stable and reliable in my home studio and I'm really looking forward to taking it out to some gigs in the near future. I'll report back when I've got a few gigs in with it.
