I grabbed some of these the other day and just love the way it has helped my guitar playing. Not only does it act as a great thumb picker but if you hold your index finger on it it is almost identical to a regular pick. Alternate picking is just as easy as a normal pick but you can then go straight into tapping with no fumbling to find a place to put your pick. Maybe not for everyone but everyone should at least try them.
Just found out they make a larger size. The regular size ones squeezed my thumb so much that it took some real breaking in with every new pick. These feel much better from the get go. Besides that, if you haven't tried a thumb pick yet you're not realizing the full expressivness of your right hand. These picks really opened up my playing. Try it and see.
