This Nady U-81 OCTAVO wireless mic system is a professional 8-channel UHF wireless system which offers clear, natural-sounding wireless, providing you with 8 UB-81 bodypack transmitters with lavalier microphones. The Nady U-81 OCTAVO wireless system delivers eight discrete channels on selected frequency bands 902-928MHz and 944-952MHz for interference-free performance in any application or locale. The wireless mic system also features Nady's proprietary companding and low noise circuit for an industry best 120dB dynamic range.

Nady UB-81 Bodypack Transmitters
The Nady UB-81 bodypack transmitter is lightweight yet made of a rugged ABS housing. Each comes with a lavalier microphone operation with an integral antenna, and a locking 3.5mm mini-jack which provides secure connection for the mic or an instrument cable if you so choose. Other features on the wireless transmitter include convenient input volume control for proper level adjustment, or instrument operation without input level control, an Off/Standby/On switch for audio muting while the transmitter is on, and a status/low-battery level LED indicator. Each UB-81 runs on a single 9V alkaline or NiMH battery.

Consumer Alert:

Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. Comments about Nady U-81 OCTAVO Omni Lav Wireless System (11/12/13/16/17/19/20/21):

This kit is absolutely worthless. Tried using it for an "interview panel" type event, but ended up using handheld wireless mics instead. When firing up the receiver, all 8 channels RF lights would flicker on and off randomly as if the belt packs were transmitting and dropping off...but none of them had batteries in them. Tested in 3 other locations (3 different towns... not different parts of the building) to verify whether it was interference or not, and it certainly wasn't.

Comments about Nady U-81 OCTAVO Omni Lav Wireless System (11/12/13/16/17/19/20/21):

just hooked it up this afternoon at school (small hall, Yamaha EMX 512 and 2 @ Peaveys with 15's)to field test before a talent show. Easy enough to connect, used the 1/4" output option. Found that the 5th set had a high freq. whistle/hum when turned off everything was fine. Sound quality over all is ok, but gains are very sensitive. If you try to ride it up with the channel you get low freq hum. Didn't try the XLR ports too pricey may take a few to try. Need to call manufacture for redress on unit no. 5, U8-21. Hopefully w ecan do swap.
