I own some other personal monitors and needed one more for a new band member. I'd been very happy with the other monitors but decided to give this one a try. I was very impresse by the performance of this monitor. The only thing I would add is buy the mic stand adaptor, it doesn't come with the speaker like the other brand.

The unit suffices for its price. My complaint is the " Built in Mic stand mount socket". Kind of implies that its ready to go right on the mic stand. Upon recieving the unit I found it needs a mic stand adapter to fit properly. So add anther ten smackers for that. Not really a deal breaker but a little shaky omitting this point. Pops in San Diego

Comments about Nady PM-100 Personal Near Field Monitor:

These monitors are great and simplified our stage setup as we no longer use our big wedge monitors for most gigs. The audio on these monitors is tailored to cut through with mid-range punch, and I can now hear myself a lot better than before. Plus no need to lug around stage monitors! Overall, the price was great and the performance more than met my expectations.

THis is the second Nady monitor that we purchased for our church's musicians and I found it to be fairly priced, sound quality is good and it was easy to setup.

Not really 10 out of 10... yet!!

            By MARTIN OCONNOR

Comments about Nady PM-100 Personal Near Field Monitor:

Well its compact and its a little heavey which might suprise you but it works. I only have it a while so I haven't had the chance to road test it fully but so far it seems to be able to cope with live situations. I tried it out at a gig recently and it seemed to do the job until our PA decided to feedback but I really blame that on the room shape and band location not the monitor itself. Nady really need to include the stand adaptor with the monitor for the price it really should be included. This monitor can sub as an acoustic amp or even a keyboard amp depending on what and where your playing. The only other thing that Nady need to update is the instructions they are a little vague they should really give you examples of common set ups and best configs etc....I placed mine ontop of a multi guitar stand (3 in 1 style) with bungees to hold it and it did the job but i will invent a better way soon. Hey, at the very least it beats dragging around a big wedge to every gig..

            Good for the Price

Comments about Nady PM-100 Personal Near Field Monitor:

Bought 4 of these, out of the box one was bad, it has no out put on the 16ohm setting. Beware, the so called volume control is an impedence selector, not an L-Pad that keeps the impeedence as the volume lowers. If you set it to the -14db setting it will be at looking for 136ohms. Not good for your amp! The 16, 24 and 32 is OK if you are daisy chaining them together, but be advised the lowest setting is 16ohms, so if you are using them one monitor per channel, beware! Overall I think they are worth the price, thay have worked fine so far.

            Happy keyboard player and drummer

            By Bill-liHH2

            from Va.

Comments about Nady PM-100 Personal Near Field Monitor:

We were using a couple of 112m floor monitors and had to crank them up so loud for the keyboard player and drummer that when we played in small Churches that it killed our house sound. After using these for the first time we were absolutely pleased! Not only could we reduce our stage volume, our drummer and keybord player said they had better sound! And all of this was considerably cheaper than most name brands. Are they Peavey or Yamaha, no. But they are a great buy for the money and we would/will buy more.
