The sound quality is awesome for the price. The only down side is that the box and mic feels really cheap. I was going to return it but that sound is awesome.
Absolutely what we needed.. Our wired mic (for outdoor use)kept rusting out at the connectors... Wireless was the way to go. Receiver is kept inside a powered "shed" and the wireless mic only comes out when we need it.
So I bought two of these bad boys, and used them for the first time last night. Only one worked properly, but it performed remarkably well. The sound clarity, was much better than the price point would indicate, and the range was respectable too, provided that you didn't put anything electronic between the receiver and mic. Had some drop out when I had the receiver sitting beside my powered mixer, but when I put it on top, no issues. With a proper mix, the sound quality is on par with more expensive corded and cordless mics. The range, is not huge...maybe 30-40 feet, but within that, the mic works fine. As far as feel...there's nothing to 'em for weight. The 9V battery, doubles the weight. I can't see them surviving a stomp or hard fall, but they can take all kinds of vocal abuse...had a few mic munchers, and in spite of being wet, the mic worked as good on song 50 as it did on song 1. Think I'm gonna get some spit shields for it though. As for the one that didn't work, I'm going to see if it wasn't just a bad channel on my very old mixer before I write it off as a dud. But hey...for under $60/mic, the one that did work, paid for both of them. I wouldn't use them for bands, but for small venue/coffee shop acoustic gigs, DJing, PA, and karaoke, they will more than suffice. As someone with years of both performance and technical experience in music, it is my honest opinion that these mics are worth your money for the applications that I've stated above. If you know how to use a mixer properly to EQ your vocals, then they will make you sound like a million bucks, without costing as much. I will be buying these again to replace the ones that I have when and if they die. So yeah...budget DJs, starving artists and frugal karaoke hosts rejoice, because your savior has come.
I use this mic as a DJ. The reception is ok. I have experienced some drop outs while testing it in my basement. The mic is made of plastic and I can see it breaking if the wrong person handles it. Dropping the mic would probably kill it. Like I said earlier I am a DJ and will be using it for that purpose alone. I would not suggest using this in an application where the performer is going to be far away. When the mic is near the reciever it sounds great however. This mic will be the DJ mic or a back up mic. Once I get a couple of hundred to spend on another wireless mic I will buy something more robust.
I have low tech DJ equipment I have gathered over the years. I was voulenteered to do a wedding. Which was a large step up from the teenager garage parties. I purchased the mic because it was cheep and was plesently surprised by how well it worked. I had a little trouble with the 1/4 in plug when you touch it. It seems not to be the sturdiest. Overall a nice buy.
I just bought 2 of these mics not to long ago. They are descent mics. The only issue that I have with these mics is that I get interference from time to time with them and I tend to have a feedback problem when I turn up my effects processor on them. I have to majorly under equalize the mics to get it to stop. Other than that I have no problems with them. Just make sure that you're not using them for home use and only in venues.
I was verry impressed with these mic's they are verry versitlie. We had to mic up a 4 person chorus or backupsingers for a church convention. Low on cash and wires we desided to put the nady DKW to the test. They get 100. Good sound quality no gating and no drop outs. This is and amazing mic it was a 4 day event and we just needed 2 9v batteries for 4 days. I Love this mic package.
Purchased this economical wireless system for a pastor to use at a wedding reception outside. I was quite surprised to listen to the vocal quality and found it to be very good. I experienced no drop outs in reception during the ceremony. The only thing I noticed that the mic shaft diameter is too large for a standard mount. I would buy this item in a heartbeat.
I got this about two years ago for my thirteenth birthday, and it holds up nicely. It can be used all over my house. For when I'm downstairs it can be heard perfectly clear from my amp upstairs.
