The price of these mics caught my eye so I bought them hoping they would suffice until I could buy a more expensive mic system. I initially thouht that I had bad batteries when I plugged them in an they immediately began cutting out. NOPE, was not the batteries. The mics are cheaply made and they perform that was as well. The range for me was no more than ~5 feet. Across the room was out of the question. Save yourself the trouble and pass on these mics.
Admittedly, the price caught my eye. I was replacing Nady Duo's, which I found impressive, in spite of their inability to take a lot of abuse, when I saw these. I swapped them out right before a gig and my first singes were inaudible with the channel maxxed- thesse 'mics' aren't even toys... simply the worst excuses for mics EVER!
Bought this for my daughters 8th b-day thinking she could sing to her favorite songs without being tied down w/ a wire to a microphone system. We were told to buy an AMP that was good for microphones and instruments..went w/ that suggestion and hooked it up no problem. The issue is the feedback you get on the microphone. It picks up everything including radio stations. We called Cust Service to be told that this happens alot when you use and AMP. Needless to say it's not much fun for an 8 yr old when she can't hear herself sing and we are moving from room to room trying to get the best connnection. It was returned.
i thought this would be really good even for the price b/c of the other reviews.... it wasn't. it works on fm radio, both dont work together well...i cant pick up connection from 3 and a half feet away.. it goes on...
It's really cheap and it works really well. It comes with two mics, a receiver, two 9v batteries!!! and a 1/4 to line-level (rca plug) cable (mono). For this price with all these accessories, you can't beat it. You may consider buying a line-level (female rca to two male rca) splitter.
