I use this mic for recording my personal songs, and fun tracks. It has performed amazingly well in all departments. Clarity (check), Quality (check), durability (check). I recommend this microphone to anyone looking for a cheap USB mic.
If you want a cheap mic for voice pod casts, this is a mic for you. If you want a cheap mic for instrument recording or loud voice recording, this is definitely NOT the mic for you. With an acoustic guitar, it is slightly tolerable. But with electric guitar (with distortion or clean with effects), or drums or keyboards, it is completely unreasonable. It made my Line 6 Spider III amp sound like a broken child's toy! The recorder in an iPhone is way better than this. I really wish there was something that said it was not intended for instruments. If you are looking for a mic for instrument recording, i recommend the Blue Snowball USB Microphone or the Shure SM57-X2U SM57 MIC with XLR-TO-USB PACKAGE. They are much more expensive, but you will be getting your moneys worth and a guaranteed great sounding recording.
