This microphone provides OK sound but it is very good if your playing metal or punk. But due to the crummy unclear sound it is not good for quiet vocals with soft melodies. Overall it is very good to start with.
I built a pa and didnt have much money for mics so I gave these a try. Theyre worth it. In a situation where they were used by 5 different bands in one night both of the sp33 that I have did a wonderful job capturing vocal clarity. It was awsome. I did not use them for the lead singer but when used with a growler they gave me more oportunity to get a more balanced sound then a samson r21 that I already had. I would say they sound as good as a sm58 but arn't as rugged.
