A must have for home recording. I put this in my mobile rack as an input bay with individual outputs going directly to the recorder. This give me a front-panel input with an adjustable preamp signal and phantom,power if needed,for mics, instruments or other preamp/signal devices. No more turning the cabinet around and rewiring inputs, simply plug in and go. What could be easier ?
We bought this to boost the volume of a few channels that were lacking power at church, mainly the wireless teaching mic. An initial test revealed a bad hiss with gain at 12-2:00, that just got worse either direction. It might be okay for live metal or rock, but not speech and recording.....Gonna send it back.
