Not Impressed!!

I had been in the market for in-ear monitors for a while and was excited about the opportunity to buy some. AFter Shopping around I decided on this system. I went ahead and tossed the factory ear buds that were supplied and bought some Shure E-2 ear buds. Upon setting up the system I was very dissapointed. The sound quality was really pathetic and there was a really loud hum in the background. I have since sent this product back and do not recommend this product at all!!!!

Tim the bass player - Mellon Family Gospel Singers

I bought 2 of these guys since I did not want to tote two heavy return monitors, in addition to another amp since I use AUX 1/2 which are passive. At my first try, I was disappointed due to background humming, popping, crackling, etc. But I quickly learned that if you create a healthy balance between your active inputs as opposed to your inactive inputs coming in on your mixer, and then adjusting the P.E.M. correctly, then you can get a pretty clean sound with minimal Eddie noise. Also if you use more than one (trust me) don't run multiple recievers off of one transmitter, and be sure you change the channel setting on one of the sets, and set it several channels away from the first for b est results. I placed one set on channel 1, and my other set on channel 10. (be sure you change the transmitter and reciever both to same channel.) It took awhile to get it all sounding good, but overall I was pretty pleased with the end result. I mean its not a $3000.00 sound, but then again, its not a $3000.00 unit either.

Workhorse system - great for bands

We've been using this system for live performances for several years now and I'm about to buy a second one. No problems with the transmitter. The personal packs are a bit delicate - handle with care and I replaced the clip with something more sturdy. Better ear buds are a good idea. But for the price, this is a great value - if you haven't gone wireless before for monitors you will be amazed how much better (and lighter to carry!) they are. Save your eardrums with controllable sound!
